First car I drove was a 1.2 16v mk2 ph2 is my mams. Perfect car for a first car tbh! Be glad you got such a nice car as your first. A bit higher on insurance than most other cars in its class. However it stands it ground against its 1.0-1.2lt rivals.

If I buy her car, it means she needs her own car. But the VAT increase has put the cost of our living up so she cant afford to buy a new car and pay for other things.

Sound Advice, I find that if i wash, dry, clay, polish, wax. That after claying the quick detailer leaves holograms and then so does the polish, the wax gets rid of most of it. Best thing to do is as JD said.
Saw a very smart looking yellow mk2 ph1 dci with a sport kit on it. Recaro seats, lots of tweety pie stuff and very yellow themed.
