This is a result from a place visited second. Now these rollers are very different as the wheels are removed and the power figures are taken directly from the hubs.
They say estimating around 18%losses the car is running at most 175-180bhp!
My results from the firsy rollers i went on after the cams were fitted. The guys there ALL said they could tell by the line that runs straight that the cam timing is out!
Mate, im in the process of sorting major hassles from these guys over work done on my car.
200brake cam conversion they say by their graph is 198bhp. However ive been to FOUR other different rollers now and they ALL say my car is running between 175-180bhp.
Ive spoken to the guy who set up...
Well i was,nt given a choice!
But all the power is wasted gettin off the line!
ben-p, i wouldnt be so sure, especially when you can see an evo viii do a 13.8@santa pod &a clio with tb,s do a 13sec dead!
Ive had the cams looked at&they were not sdet to the standard renault timing but their own! The exhaust cam was estimated about 5/6degrees out meaning that the power increase is in the wrong place-its instant from the off but by about 4-5k its gone!
May sound idea for gettin off the lights but...
PMSL @The Jesus- I think after 3pages this thread has shadowed over my situation. A car that no doubtedly shifts like sh*t of a shovell but im YET to find a rolling road that tells me ive actually hit near 200brake. As far as im aware all the dynos ive had so far seems to be going down,so lets...
Im 24 with 5years no claims&on my 172 renault wanted £1500 so i went with Greenlight who are based in Brentwood- cheapest i found they wanted about £850. Been with them for 2yrs now- Highly recommended as they can cover you for track days ;)
Problem i found is hardly anyone wants to cover you...
I know ive currently still got some issues with cams that were fitted but this is now my main concern as its happened a few times leaving me stuck in a very dangerous situation-recently as i was going round a busy junction.
Would normally be the reason/s for this happening?
Most when i push the car hard round the rev limiter but yesterday it happened when i was CALMLY doing about 25mph.
I going to a rolling road day in a few weeks and im concerned it could happen while on the rollers.
Hayward&scott custom cat-back exhaust with 2.5"bore with silenced decat (but theres no way on earth its silenced). lol ive tried to do a few videos but it just picks up too much other noise.
I remember when steve172-250 got his turbo conversion done at bb tuning. The feedback was good but he soon realised some of the standard parts were,nt up to taking the power. That.ll be bb not doing their research properly again!
The cookie- Im with Greenlight has well&have been for the past two years and find their service 1st class7there preimiums far cheaper than anyone else.
I stubbled on a slight result the other day- it turns out a trader who i deal with at work is a really good mate of Neil@Greenlight. I,ll speak...
My car before
and after when i had my windows tinted
TOTALLY legal, dont worry ive checked as ive already been nicked twice before.
If your going to only get the rear windows done i wouldnt both as driving round for three months with just the rear windows done when i got nicked looked...
Im going to get alot of stick for this but being that this is a forum and people have different opinions im going to say it -I think v6,s are very overrated for what they are!
