Yes, after a few laps your tyres will be at much too high a pressure which will give you less grip. Optimal hot track temperature varies so some experimentation will be needed. Depending on the tyre manufacturer they may be able to give you the recommended hot pressure, Michelin do for certain...
The other thing the R53 has in it's favour is it's relatively easy to find one with a LSD because it was a factory-fit option, and they don't command much of a premium. They certainly need it when you've turned the wick up a bit ;)
But as others have said, there's a lot to be said for a Clio as...
Christ, what a joke. It's paint! How much would a respray in LY cost - nowhere near the premium they're asking for the car. I know it's a more complex process than the standard paint, but still......
I know it's bad, but I hardly ever use the booby traps or mines..... Too much fun to shoot people. It is a very different feeling game, I think you have more options. Stealth is still important but if you want to go a bit "all guns blazing" you can do that much more easily than in SE3. Just...
Stick resistors in 'em to prevent the warning light coming on, tuck them away in the boss, job's a goodun. Can't remember the resistor values but a quick search on here should turn up the values.
Oh, go on then, arm twisted, etc. The engine looks awesome - big step forward from 3. 5 hour 30 minute download on my crappy internet connection though...... <sigh>
@Darren S @Gareth Have either of you played Sniper Elite 3 much? If so, how does 4 stack up? I’m currently working my way through 3, it’s very different to my usual style of game but there’s something compelling about it. I do find the “bullet cam” stuff a bit off putting sometimes, which is...
Very nice! I seriously considered one of these before going for the Golf R, the discounts and finance deals BMW do on them are just insane. Engine is an absolute peach. Only reason I’ve not got one is I fancied 4WD this time round.
I really despair at the reporting of this in the media, “people have suspected for years that Apple deliberately slow down old phones with software updates - well it’s true!”. Talk about missing the point completely. Old phones get slower with upgrades because the OS is more complicated and is...
Well, to be fair, without the software update your phone would be shutting down a lot more. The software changes are to avoid as far as possible the scenario you're having, but they can only go so far. They should have been open about it though.
It’s still a useful thing to have, the tester may turn round and try to incorrectly fail it for low rear braking effort even once the binding is sorted out.
Hope I didn’t creep you out by checking the fail sheet, it just seemed quicker than asking a bunch of questions and your reg is in your...
Not sure that covers imbalance across the rear axle? It would cover front to rear imbalance i.e. rear brakes putting in little braking effort but if one side of the axle is putting in significantly less effort than the other that's not great and I wouldn't have thought it would be caused by the...
Probably because someone at Autocar is subscribed to your channel, or one of their friends is, and away it goes. Your videos are also unusually calm, clear and informative, so if you were going to pick one to quote it’s a good one.
IMO it’s a rather lazy, sorry excuse for journalism but every...
Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, just basing it on sometimes it can be a bugger to get a car to make the turn in one go if you get the line slightly wrong. First pic is the view down the drive towards the road, second two are the road and the turn onto the drive.
There's also a white stone...
Some of them do seem to go just fine with a lot of power and the right map, been a while since I was a Volvo beard so I'm probably a bit out of touch ;)
To be fair to Ford, the 2.5 lump in the RS and ST which quite often needs the block mod is a Volvo engine and very little to do with them in terms of the core design. The mistake seems to have been to up the power when they decided to make it the new "T5" engine because they couldn't make the...
I'd love to get myself a trailer setup, but I've got a tight 90 degree corner to get onto my drive and I don't think I'd be able to make it - basically a single track road with a 90 degree turn into a driveway just wide enough to get a transit down with a couple of inches clearance either side...
T1-S was a far worse tyre than the T1-R to be fair to the R, the R was a good tyre for the price although not great in the wet, or the cold. I used them with no real complaints, but like I say it was a very, very long time ago.
The Eagle F1 peed all over them by comparison, and that’s...
They were decent enough, if never class leading except in terms of bang for buck, but that was about fifteen years ago. Ancient design, long surpassed. I’m genuinely mystified that they still have an almost cult following.
I mean, they’re not lethal or anything but they’re still treated like...
That's not bad, and also good that they didn't mess about, I guess the technical bulletins are out now. Either that or they watch your YT vids, power of celebrity and all that :D
Seriously, stop it, once I've sorted my daily I want a 7-a-like for a toy and after the M3 it makes me look like some creepy perv who's copying your choices :D
