Got it working! Had to turn the ignition, then plug the obd in and then start the software. Strange. I backed up the .cal and the ecu just to be safe and then loaded the 7300 .cal file. Only had a very short run to work, which most was waiting for the engine to heat up, but it ran alot less...

I connected the obd to the car and then turned the ignition on (I wasn't sure if it meant to actually start the engine or put it on the 2nd click? - but I tried both) Then openened rstuner and pressed 'connect' and got those error messages. Still awaiting a reply from Henk.

My cup has CC, but I haven't used the aircon once :/ Too concerned by the petrol consumption and loss of power

Received my kit on friday, tried using it today for the first time but when trying to connect I get the following messages... 'Could not start communications with ecu.' and 'Unrecognised Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).' Anyone got any ideas? Im awaiting a reply from Henk.

Get a new exhaust system? You can buy the single 182 exhaust surrounds from reno but they're £25inc vat EACH.

Looks in decent nick. I would change the k-tec grill and exhaust - probably just the backbox if its got an aftermarket system on. ..And acquire a renault badge.

Trip currently says 38.3 as I've just done a 300mile round trip mostly motorway, but also includes chasing a TVR around country roads. I usually get 33-34mpg average

The same garage that fit the decat, offered to be very friendly if I came back and MOT'd with them. :)

I bottled it and got a garage to fit it for 30squids. Car feels a bit more responsive already. Cheers for the help anyway.

Recently had a decat fitted to mine. MOT isn't due till Nov, but the guy who fitted it said they'd pass it if i MOT'd it with them. As for giving them £50?! Are you mad... it costs less then that to get a garage to swap the cat back over.

Get yourself down to AAS on scotswood rd. mate. They make custom exhausts to a high standard. There's a waiting list so you may have to book in a few weeks in advance.

Is it the same as the manifold to cat kit? If not, has anyone got a part number and rough price for the above?
