what the best way to resize a pic to 1280 x 1024 so it does not distort the pic? is there any programs that create like a mask you can place over the pic so you can choose which part of a photot to use? or something that can be done on photoshop?? cheers

i would go for the 70-200 i have one in canon fit and the 2x converter and on a cropped sensor body you will have more than enough length.
