Exhaust fitted! sounds nice and deep and not to loud. Had to use oxyacetylene to heat the lambda plug loose and loads o water came out the old backboxes.
I'll put some videos up when I get the chance.
Had a spending spree on parts for the Clio ordered a piper 2.5" cat back exhaust and k-tec de-cat pipe and my eibach sportlines arrived.
Also a wee pic of the whiteline rear arb
Engine bay pic, samaco induction pipe, acoustic valve removed.
fitting the exhaust this weekend
Could be from damp mats, I though it might be because I've had the heaters on so inside the car is warm and outside is cold so it causes condensation which then freezes. Is that theory possible?
Don't seem to have any leeks.
Sorry to hi-jack this but are the rear exhaust mounts the same on all the Clio's because my local motor factor doesn't stock mounts for 1*2s but they have ones that look identical for lower spec clios.
Cente Exhaust mount? Also when I had my car at the garage the mechanic said you need to try an have the engine pulled as far forward as you can when you tighten the blots for te engine mounts.
quite easy to do them yourself mate I did the wheels on my last car.
Sand them back
fill any scratches with chemical metal
sand that back
spray a good few layers of primer
then a good few layers of your colour
and lots of layers of lacquer
I didn't use hammerite just normal rattle cans
Exhaust goes like this from front to back
Manifold-cat-centre secion-backbox
The manifold is bolted to the cat and the cat bolts to the centre section. A de-cat pipe is just a plane bit of pipe that replaces the cat.
Thanks for the help guys, looked at the springs and if the writing on them is the right way up the close together ones are at the bottom and the guide on here shows them fitted that way to so thats what I'll do.
Im going to be fitting my sportlines in a few days and I'm just wondering which way up the spring goes? I know they are progressivly wound but do the coils that are closest together go at the top or bottom?
thanks
Not a cup but i stopped about 5 inches from railings after trying to turn right and go down a hill.
Not to sure about the difference between abs/no abs as my saxo didn't have abs but the clio does. I just try to not get myself into the situattion where i need to brake hard.
