just wanting to see the costs involed because it may be cheaper to convert to 172 hubs and get fk, kw coilovers etc instead of buying ast's or H&Rs for the original hubs.
Basicly thinking of doing this what are the costs involved?
How much are 172 hubs?
Can I use 182 cup wheels on them with no problems?
What else do I need?
I'm thinking of running fk konigsport coilovers and 172 hubs using standard 182 cup pack wheels.
If you've got an open filter it will probably be effected by heatsoak so if you swap back to standard you might see a very minimal increase in power but nothing noticeable.
Saw this yesterday at half 4 at roseburn beside the kenny Dunn garage, looked like it was being driven by a mechanic etc as it had one of those plastic bag seat covers.
I got my 182 the month after I turned 20, medium risk post code, 1ncb, no points, 1 crash non fault. I'm £1500 tpft still a crap price and that was after phoning around. £2300 was best I got for fully comp.
Ha sorry bud, I've got two jobs so juggling them and trying to get along to meets is hard for me.

I've heard that cars with itb engines can have lower emissions when set up correctly so if that person had a de-cat declaired on insurance and passed the emissions test then it's legal I say.
don't see why he did that to the 1.4 engine, 1.6 16v would of been the better option. As for 40k well LOL GMC do a supercharger kit for 4k which would make 250bhp atw with a ecu and mapping. Oh and the gearbox will last hardly anytime with that power.
not tried this but somone on another car fourm said you should wipe vodka on the windscreen the night before and it won't ice up. I preffer just whacking the tesco deicer on and waiting tbh.
