Yorkshires Daily Dci 100 - Plasti Dip

Love the matte grey!! Can I ask how much it cost to have it done? Really fancy changing the colour of mine.

    Hammering locking wheel nuts off.

Going to try some of those extractor things tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath though!! Fingers crossed as always. No tyre places around by me (cannock) have the removal thing. :(

    Hammering locking wheel nuts off.

Im in the same situation although I'm yet to get mine off!! Idiot tyre fitter with a buzz gun did them up too tight and bent the pins. This means that a hand tool slips and a buzz gun won't budge it!! :( I doubt damage could be caused although bearings 'could' be affected in a very small way...

will the clio 172/182 alloys fit on a mk3 clio estate

I ran 172 wheels on my non sport without issues, needed spacers for looks but not for running.

will the clio 172/182 alloys fit on a mk3 clio estate

I say go for 182 wheels. They look larger due to the spokes and are a much nicer wheel imo. Green has been done before on a black car, hence the @Spinksy comment. Lol Maybe a nice red? Looking forward to seeing what you do with it though mate. You could even think about a 197 facelift, you could...

will the clio 172/182 alloys fit on a mk3 clio estate

Don't see why not, they fit a clio mk3 so the tourer if 4 stud must be the same.

    Clio Estates

Drop a 197 engine in it and be the first ever??

    Noob with a 172

That is really nice mate. Really like the mods done already. A drop would finish it off. ;)

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

I've noticed that there is noticeable rattle in the car at idle. I wouldn't say its a lot or annoying really. The benefits I'm seeing are worth it to be honest. Much more precise gearchange, less engine movement which means less jerkiness especially when engine braking and pulling off. So imo...

    The new car

Thanks to @chris powell i bought a powerflex dogbone and eventually (after making a thread of my woes) got it fitted today. What a difference it makes, anyone thinking of doing so I recommend it!! Such a nicer feeling to the gearchange for such little outlay. Few more jobs to do but I'll...

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

Thank you for all the advice. Well the novice won this battle!! I went out, put the car on axle stands and came at it from the front. Eventually got it out and the powerflex one fitted. What a difference! Tighter gearchange, less movement in gearstick and feels like it puts the power down...

    WP53 OKO - Glacier White - 172 Cup

This is beautiful and I am now seriously considering having mine done in white. I think Renault missed a trick with white 1*2's! Although saying that they would be common as muck!!

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

Ahh now that's an idea, thank you. I did think of that but got annoyed and worried so gave up. I'll take a dose of man the f**k up and try your way!!

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

I probably do need to man the f**k up to be fair, though I was more worried about snapping it.

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

Unfortunately not. I'll give it another go Monday when I'm free. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

I did think that but was certain it was right. Made me think for about 5 minutes though. Always the simple jobs take me ages!! :(

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

Ok, I'll give that a whirl when I next get some free time. Thank you. I was more worried it would snap off and leave me up #### creek. Thanks

    Dogbone fitting argh!!

Right, I'm a bit of an idiot but here goes. I went out, jacked up my car (ph2 172) put axle stands under and began to change my dogbone mount for a powerflex one. I could undo the big end easily but the gearbox end wouldn't budge. I was Using all my strength and it just wouldn't budge. How on...

The big bit 'looks' correct, but the small bit looks very wrong.

    182 Dogbone fitment issues.

I apologise , I was wrong. It looks different to mine. I'll grab a picture.

    182 Dogbone fitment issues.

Looking to at the one I have recently purchased, i would say the larger bush is the hardest to remove, so looks like they couldn't be bothered with the small one imo. Not good of a garage really.

    eighty_six's flame 172

Have you got spacers on @eighty_six or is that just how 182 wheels sit? Looks awesome!!

    The new car

Yeah they are on the list to do, it's not a long list but getting round to it slowly. :(

    The new car

Hi mate. I've already sorted a swap out for the wheels, but if it falls through I'll let you know. It's a power flow and I hate the look, so got to do something with it.
