Rallye-King - are you sure it wasnt Benfield Motors I was offered an import in there Garage just off the Coast Road.
As for the price on imports there is no reason why imports shouldnt reach the same price as a UK sourced car. They are one and the same!!! I know they dont!!
The main problem...
Yeah you have to respect the time, effort and the vision to do it. But I do hate Lexus style lights.....they look pants on Lexuss (or Lexi...whatever), other people must like them I suppose!!!
I dont mind the rear boot spoiler, where did that babt come from?
Ive forgotton mine, there is a way to work it out though...can anyone remind me!
My e-mail address has changed so I cant use the forgot password bit! :(
Cheers, Paul
I live in Gateshead but the dealer I use is on the outskirts of Newcastle! They arent that good, but they are cheap.....and their are some quite nice ladies who work there!!
Looks well pricey to me! Ive just had my 12,000 mile service and it only came to £111 inc VAT which is less then your labour charge!!!
But its not just that:
my oil was only £15
Screenwash only 76p
Your oil filter though was cheaper than mine!!
Dont add up to me!!! It would be cheaper...
I have driven a MK1 172 on 17s and I couldnt tell the difference (remember the MK1 only has 15s as standard) Yes it was a lot firmer (it was lowered too) But I liked the ride I didnt feel like I was going to fall out the window when going briskly round a corner
zedx19 - Just dont know whether...
I like the standard wheel a lot, just a bit small IMO! I have thought about the Cup wheels in 17" but I cant decide. I dont wanna spend all that money and then wish I hadnt!!
I think any wheel will be prone to kerbing, but I suppose if you dont drive like a tool then should be OK.
....as above! They are the closest I can find to the standard MK2 172 wheels.

....appologies to the person whos picture I have used.
Dont get either! Wait for the New Ibiza Cupra R or the Pub GTI 180. I wouldnt buy another clio not because I dont like them just I would to try something different. And I wouldnt buy a CTR cos I just dont like them, but Im sure they are lovely!!!
jimblive - Yeah mine is exactly that!!! It when you come of the gas not on it!!! Surely Renault must recognise this as a fault so many people have had the same thing.
jamesc2 - The last thing I want to do is leave it with them....everytime I do they bloody break something!! last time they...
Im on 12,000 at the minute though it has been doing it since about 6000!! I dont think its a serious problem, its just annoying.....made even worse by Renault being unwilling to help!!
Right my car has been to Renault 6 times since new for different things but each time I have asked them to look at the exhaust. Its the age old vibrating problem at 4k revs.
Each time they say sorry sir, there is nothing wrong with it. I have tried to demonstrate the problem to the service...
There will be cheaper ones available but you will need to speak to JustMatz about them.
Given that the replacement mats for a 172 are £130 from Renault £70 aint bad for a set of mats that are 10 times the quality!!
