I hear you. I am contracting with a large multinational food manufacturers. Recently there has been a push towards automation without governance so you , me , fred the cleaner can request a service account that belongs to a privilege group. You request it , your non IT boss approves it, voila...
Its going to be a long transition from a tradtional password. They are so engrained in every aspect of our IT life.
Until we can get systems where a giant SSO is used for everything ( entra? ) and systems are able to plug in to it we are done for. Windows hello is a good step towards that but...
I think once you are in , you are in with storage. I know that for £60k (ish) 200TB of Dell EMC storage can be bought and then depreciated over say 5 years.
The snag I can see with vSAN is again licensing. Its another license.
Swings and roundabouts I guess.
One more.
I assume you have several blades or equivalent packed with disk.

Wont that only work if its a local SAMAccountDB?
I have used various mount tools to load the OS and exploit this but does this work if the users account is tied into the MS online account?
Work in reverse @mace¬

Whats the goal ; If you want to play 4k 120fps triple screen ACC with £350 its not going to...
