I've briefly tried VoIP on my N80 flashed to N80IE.
While I love the phone the VoIP isn't great.
I could here the other person but I was very muffled. Dunno if that's more to do with my internet connection though.
Incidentally, does anyone know if the ISO connectors would be a direct fit for a 53 reg Ford Fiesta. The one with the weird three piece looking cd/radio?
Cheers.
Cool. Managed to pull out the radio, find the leads, swap them and stuff everything back in. The lights now go off when keys are out.
bmh01... it's not so much that tomtom is on it's side, it's an app I have for the N80 which allows you to turn the screen to landscape, it's called 'rotateMe'...
One question before I go back outside, while you guys are on...
I noticed earlier that the sound is quite loud, so I turn it down.
When I take keys out and put back it, the sound is loud again.
Also, when sending my first contact to the parrot, Andy, it asks for his name, to say home...
Dammit!
I've just been out to the car and the noticed (only just) that the red and green lights are still on!
AAARRRGGGHH!! Gonna have to try to pull out the radio (hoping I don't have to take the dash off again) and see if I can manage to swap the connectors!
So if I swap them, the...
It's not the one with the screen. So it doesn't say goodbye unless it's meant to on the phone?
Pics coming up soon. I've recently bought a Brodit proclip with an N80 holder too.
Tom, do it? Do what?
(Do it, do it - like Starsky and Hutch?!)
Cool! I got it working barring some teething problems with the voice commands.
That said, I'm now worried I have the power wiring up wrong?!
It says on the guide above...
Renault cars have an inverted polarity.
12V Ignition and the 12V Permanent are
inverted so change the fuses...
lol I'm not well mate and it came today. Looking at all the wires and my head's in bits.
So does it just clip straight in between the radio and the car?
I thought the ISO connector would not match up with the Clio's wiring and thus some sort of adapter would be needed.
So I can just...
lol me again...
Is nemall's post in this thread true?

(I'm ill off work today and don't want to venture outside and faff about)
lol ok there's a wiring thread been bumped today that I've spotted.
If I was doing it myself, should I solder it or use those little Scotch connector things? Just seems like loads of stuff to try to fit behind radio.
ISO would be best I think.
Anyone?
I've just bought a Parrot CK3000 Evolution. Got it for £60 buy it now off ebay.

They get a good review and with the now £60 & 3 points for using your phone, I'm hoping it'll keep me out of trouble.
I'm starting to...
Brodit are great.
I'm in touch with someone here trying to get club discount. I'm waiting for it to be set up before I order as they say they will do free delivery. I've seen one in the flesh and they are good. Few different mounting options available.
A proclip and holder for an N80 is...
My method is simple if you follow it step by step.
The product code you want for an N73 is 0527009
or if it's an N73 Music Edition or to turn a normal N73 into an ME is 0537289
I imagine it's very similar to updating an N80.
Here's some instructions for an N80 that I've used and pm'd people on here...
(the product code you'll need for an N73... well you'll have to search here for it)
I got my instructions from a thread on this site...
What the hell is homebrew?
My dad used to put this sack of ale behind the telly 3 weeks before crimbo but I suspect this is not the case.
Can I brew myself up a psp? Add some circuits boards, 10 pints of water and leave for 3 weeks?
I'd keep yours.
You know your car and you're taking a bit of a risk going backwards age wise and milage wise. You'll have more things to replace on a 51k car like timing belt for starters.
I'd take kullys advice and wait a bit and go for a newer car.
Download and install a program called Everest
It'll tell you what everything is in your pc

Then just go to the relevant manfacturer's website and download the appropriate drivers.
