    DIY Cat fitting?

OK I've found out the jacking points etc but if someone could answer my Q's about the actual fitting of the cat, it'd be great. Cheers.

    Which wipers?

While I'm at it, my rear one never cleans at the very top of the window, just smudges it. Any way of making it create a perfect semi circle? It's a new bosch blade too. (Normal as they don't do the flat rear ones)

    Which wipers?

They're ggggreat! Super smooth and quiet. Really clean the windscreen ultra clean too. Look pretty cool. I'll never go back to standards now. If I'm being mega fussy though, the drivers side one doesn't quite touch the glass about an inch from the end, until it gets half way up the...

    DIY Cat fitting?

My standard cat needs to come off and be replaced. I have a second hand cat to put on (I won't go into why I didn't go de-cat/sports/new etc). Is it basically a case of unscrewing the four bolts, unscrewing the two lambda sensors and removing? Then, refitting the new one? I'm...

I seriously doubt it'd be a write off.

    crash....

I has something similar happen to me in my old VTS, bar the airbag going off. I hit a manhole cover sticking out of the ground. Tried to claim against the council, even had Elephant fighting my case and got no joy. Hope you have better luck.

    182 broken into......with a twist

My thoughts exactly. Said situation but I'll never upgrade ICE. And also why my Satnav is on my phone and that's always with me. That said, the standard head units go for £60+ on ebay!

    182 tax grade

I know on 5live they said a 2.0 16v petrol Espace is now top whack but that's gotta be less efficient than a 172 due to weight.

Caught Speeding! But could of been worse...

I can see what your saying. For the most part I drive like you say. The roads were free flowing through and I was trying to get max mpg. I still concentrate and use the +/- on the cruise to glide past people. I find sitting at 70 means you get there more relaxed and without worrying...

Caught Speeding! But could of been worse...

Mostly d/cs and then won't always use cruise but on 3/4 laners will use cruise. Did a 600 mile round trip last week on 2/3/4 lane motorways on cruise at 70. Only ever used lanes 1 and 2 of the 3 and 4 laners. Just pootle long at 70 in lane 1 and overtake and pull back in.

Caught Speeding! But could of been worse...

My late 172 has the cruise/limiter. On long motorway journeys, I just sit back and use cruise on 70. Much more relaxing than doing 80 and 90 where you catch people up and have to slow down/speed up. Not saying I don't ever speed though. Just been lucky, thus far.

    Spoiler

It will fit but you will need to extend the water hose i believe.

how accurate are sat-nav speed ratings?

My needle reads 40mph and when I flick cruise on it'll be about 37. Gps will say about 35.

    TomTom Mobile (on S60 platform)

I've got a Nemerix BT-77 (ebay £25). Gets good reception in a 172. Once it's picked up a satellite I can usually put it in the glovebox. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-BT-77-Bluetooth-GPS-Receiver-16-Channels-Nemerix_W0QQitemZ190093123366QQcategoryZ4668QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Someone on here has done it. Kris_M

    197 fuel consumption

Did you reset the mpg computer on the way back? It's just if you didn't it's giving an mpg over the whole journey and as you had 27 on the way there, I'd have thought you would get about 40ish coming back at that speed. I did a 600 mile round trip last weekend and averaged 43.6 in my 172...

Help installing Parrot CK3000 bluetooth handsfree

Sorry to be a simpleton but you mean the yellow lead from the parrot, to the blue mute in lead from the parrot? Cheers (again).

Help installing Parrot CK3000 bluetooth handsfree

There was a yellow lead in the parrot loom which (seeing as everything seemed to work) I didn't do anything with. Not sure about the radio having a mute. I can press both up&down on the stalk volume and that 'pauses' the sound ie mutes the radiio/cd.

Does anyone know if the sound should be coming out of just the front speakers? It seems to be just them. Also.. When I have tomtom on my phone on, the woman's voice now comes out of the speakers. When it does, by the time the signal has been sent to the speakers, it's missing off part of...

There's a big control box that needed tucking away. Plus it needed the microphone and control box wires routing from the back of the radio to the places I've put them. Just wanted a neat job.

Help installing Parrot CK3000 bluetooth handsfree

Incidentally, I'd recommend this kit to anyone. Takes a bit of time to get used to the settings and how they work and sending your contacts across to it. After that it's a case of... Leaving your bluetooth on your phone on.. Getting in your car, turning the ignition on, the phone then...

    Resetting my phone?

I thought it was *#7780# for a soft reset? For a hard reset, switch phone off and press and hold star, c and green answer button, while switching on. Keep these three pressed while switching on and keep them pressed until you get asked for the time.

    A few from today

I'd keep the ph2 wheels if possible as it looks better. Never really liked those 15inch OZ wheels on the mk1.
