Message to all, BUY A SPEED CAMERA DETECTOR! Never saw the point in them until April last year when a MARKED ( how i didnt notice i dont know ) Vectra Estate followed my brand new Astra Estate (diesel) up the A19 near Middlesborough for 8.5 miles! Caught me at every speed from 62mph in a 50, to...
Must admit if I dont clean mine tomorrow then you wont be able to see it anymore. Just too cold, not like me to wait this long, would normally clean it in the snow for something to do, must be working to hard? (or just at the pub too often ;) )
One thing I like about the Clio range in total is that it is better specd than any other car in its class, and people still aint noticed!
Not only does the 172 win in the power stakes but the smaller engined models are also quicker than their other marque counterparts!
Long live the Clio!
Dont worry. I think most of the people on here do far worse "driving properly" (or so we say!). Lets face it a clutch aint all that expensive, so burn it out, replace it and get better. Enjoy playing and be careful at first. Remember that the reason most of us modify our cars is cos they feel...

dentmaster/wizard and all other connetations did one on the front of my Dads Clio and it worked a treat. Also took out about 6 door dints and the car is perfect now. Not that badly priced either
Nowt wrong with Billabong clothing! I think the colour is great! But then again, I bought a sunflower yellow one last time (sh!tty gold with non matching bumpers!, but thats another story)
Well done on your purchase mate, if u can get any interior pics would be cool, cheers.
go for the cling film and gunk route, it has served me fine. Now I have an entirely plastic engine bay :( I use specialist cleaners from work, no water, just spray and wipe and its clean as anything! Just takes a while :(
Personally I would go for the MK2........main reason, 3 years warranty! With Clios being built as they are it comes in handy!
Plus I think the MK2 has the edge, just.........;)
you dont have to go dash-off route ne more. the lead Im ordering connects to the existing connector at the head unit end, thats why Ive held off for so long, didnt want to create more squeaks and rattles!
here is a piccie of one set:

I know the wardens in Durham will take a photo of you if you drive off and then do you, Ive had it done twice! :@ Suppose its the same as being done for stopping on hatched markings from cctv footage?

Pay it, Ive argued about thirty tickets (Im an engineer and need to park in some dodgy spots) and have only got away with about 5-8 of them). Look for a fault on the ticket, its the easiest way to get away with it.
You think life is a b**ch and then you meet a traffic warden! :@
Just in case anyone is intrested found this on e-bay

np cheers for info. May just go for cosmetic mods cos I aint gonna make it fast really am I?!?
Like the look of it more than anything else for the bonnet up appeal at shows. Could buy pretty much everything on K-tecs page for Clios! Too many things and not enough money! :@

Has anyone fitted an air filter to their 1.2? If so was there any difference in power (not that they have any anyway!) and, I know this is a crappy question, but does the mpg suffer much?
Also, has anyone tried the K_tec re-location system? Is it any better than any others?
Any info...
it is easier to argue that the perception of one copper can be slightly incorrect though the perception of two coppers is harder to argue against. It worked for me in court, and I was in the right then too (y)
That take you a while to type? or was it a cut and paste job? lol
Wonder how many people on here have got/had a few of them, gto my 1st SP60 last year (bought a speed camera detector the next day).
For the fine I wouldnt bother arguing if it aint a points offence, if it is you aint...
look, just found the same lights for £95 inc VAT (£105 inc postage!) at the following url, kinda kills my idea of the multi-buy but was worth a try!
