They did my bro's car as others had trouble with it being lowered quite a bit. Very good, and well equipped. Cost quite a bit though. :)...
what car is that?
Drive shafts I think don't come in halfs so you have to buy the whole shaft but it shouldn't cost too much. Around £100 - £150. Wheel Bearings are cheap, roughly £30 or so. But cambelts are expensive, especially when you have a kit fitted and not just the belt done. You're...
Sounds about right. :)
Just check it over for the usual things, as mentioned in previous threads. Check for any play in the steering, noisy power steering, cruching gears, clutch isn't slipping, brakes are sharp, no leaks, has the headgasket been done, has the timing belt been done, does it...
I put this on my car.... and then promptly removed it the next day. I found it to be rubbish and at night it would make lights have a bit more of a blur around them. Removed it, re-polished the window and I can see again!
Tbh it didn't even work that well... :quiet:
No where on par with most in here, some lovely photos I have to say. Well done everyone. :D
Better late than never though, I quite like this one, I just wish I had done it on a proper camera and not my phone. :(
V.nice, really lifts the front end of the car. Good choice. Can I just ask, are they the black ones, yeah?
Also, bulb wise, I was liking the sound of the PIAA range of "Xtreme White" Bulbs.

No worris, I'm not saying you wouldn't get any results at all... but for that kind of money why not wait until your done mod'ing and then want the ECU mapped properly. :)
Tbh I would say a normal "off the shelf chip" would be fine with those kinds of mods, if money was an issue. I wouldn't consider a complete remap until you start doing cams and headwork as then you should see more results for your wonga. :)
Well, unless you buy some reconditioned ones from like eurocarparts or something. Then they'd be in good condition. :) But, yeah whatever you want to do.
I was just curious as to why. :)
Merry Christmas btw!
How come your after Mk2 brakes? Do they offer much difference over the Valver/Willy ones, as these are good brakes. Especially with some braided lines, brembo discs and decent pads (pagid or m1144's)
Just wondering. :)
The next engine mod, not going into silly money, would be to fit a Laguna 1.8 throttle body and then just make sure she's running fine. So do an oil and filter change, use some Silkolene or Motul Fully Synthetic Oil. (10w-40 for example) Put some decent NGK sparks in with some Magnecor HT...
Lol I recognise that place. Revolution in Gateshead. ;) Sounds nice!

Magnex System (3" Round)...
For me when the car is locked the red light flashes quite quickly. When she's unlocked it goes out. I try to start the car but the battery light and immobiliser light (orange one for me) on the dash do not illuminate. If I turn the key again, she turns over but does not start. I know from...
I've got the exact same problem with my Valver. A bloke from a recognised Clifford dealers is coming out tomorrow. I have the Concept 300, and just can't get the immobiliser to disengage. Car will turn-over but won't start. :( I can post back with what happens if you like?
Is the screeching not the valve releasing the pressure whilst on full lock? Anywho, it could also be the steering rack and not the PS pump causing the noise.
Hi mate,
Basically the Mk1's do suffer from a slight sagging around that area, more noticed when you lower the car as it can catch on bumps, etc. If you do go for a whole new system best go to a decent garage and when they fit it ask them to add a new mount/braket to support the exhaust...
I would of said the std. 16v calipers, brembo max discs, some braided lines, and mintex m1144 or pagid pads would be fine.
BUT!
K-Tec do a "Big Brake Kit" which has 285mm discs and all the bits and bobs you need.

Or they do the same size...
Well imo, Mongoose or Magnex do the system for the Valver (inc. de-cat pipe). They do a 3" and 3.5" round tailpipe (Mongoose) which is a good size, sits nice, and isn't over the top. Also give a nice sound, especially when you go over 4k rpm. :D
Or you can have a look at K-Tec's options...
