Couple of things I would do. Obviously, like you know it needs lowering. But that's ok, you can't do everything at once. So get her sitting right and I think the wheels will look better.
Next, I personally would take off the K-Tec sticker on the Window. The reason for this is because there...
It's weird, quite hard to describe. For me, imagine jumping up and down on a bed (with a squeeky mattres). That kinda thing. :o
But my exhaust does knock as well, so perhaps the two are linked?! Hmm!
I've got a very annoying squeek on mine, and I can't figure out where it's coming from but it's like you say. If I go over slight bumps or pull away it's like "eek eek eek eek". V.strange!
That's probably what I'm thinking off, I heard a lot of people having their pads just disintegrate and fall apart. Something you could do without. :S
Still don't like them though.
Red-Dot, Mintex, Brembo, Black Diamond, etc for me. :)
Rob,
You should have no problems with fitting the kit. If anything you should see an MPG increase, but that is debatable. :) So it should stay the same. I doubt an IK would cause any warning lights either (I've yet to see a car with an IK fitted to do this).
Looks smart. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the wheel size. (it may be the design actually). They just look "too" big for the car imo. But apart from that, looks good. :)
Surely that's b*llocks though? As long as it's got an MOT and you have insurance what's the problem with how low it is? :S
Car looks good btw! :approve:
Try, like Martin says, to bounce the rear both ends see if it settles down nicely. But tbh, my mates RT and my old RT used to be slightly lower on oneside than the other... we aren't too bothered by it, it's only a few mm difference but it could perhaps be a sign that the shocks need replacing. :)
Aye, sorry to keep bringing this topic of the issue, so last time I post. :rasp: But in response Fred, I see what you mean about the price, but people still like quality at the end of the day. I mean I just spent £1,500 putting my Valver right  so in comparison £350 - £400 on an exhaust...
It is a bit "in your face" but it's not too bad, I have seen a lot worse. It does look like a tidy motor though, congrats! I spy Yoko rubber as well. :D
Enjoy!
Ahhh fair do's...
Hmm, I would probably buy one like. I think it would be a big hit, I mean atm mostly people use either Magnex or Mongoose, after-market wise. So I think a Yozzasport one would be good, better quality and hopefully a good sports sound. Perhaps a nice 3-3.5" round or slash...
I think it's just another layer to protect the paintwork after a polish, but it also adds a gloss effect. Then you can put a wax on top, from what I've read!
Thanks! Just what I need to know... haha I feel like a car washing virgin after hearing all this info! :quiet:
How does this sound then, trying to take on all the comments:-
SHAMPOO - Sonax Gloss Shampoo
WASH MITT - Serious Performance Sheepskin (x2)
POLISH - Poorboys Polish (Blue)...
Wow a lot of helpful info. Nice one, better get reading up. Thomss, thanks for the link I'll have a read. In the meantime guys, if you don't mind ;) could you quickly do a "simple-ish" list like I did of your recommendations. I.E a shampoo, wax, etc which work well together?
:)
I've been looking around at some great pictures of clean cars on the forum(s) and thought I'd like to do a good job of mine (when the weather is better obviously though). :)
Would the following give a good clean/shine on my car?
Shampoo - Meguiars NXT Car Wash
Wash Mitt - x2 Sheepskin...
Sorry to go a bit OT here, firstly, the exhaust looks great, I wouldn't worry about the tailpipe being slightly off. My bro has a scorpion system with twin exits and one of them don't sit perfectly. Anyway, my question to Fred!
Fred, lots of people here like your exhaust system, the quality...
^ Sounds possible. The PS fluid would of wrecked the first one, the second one may of just been dodgey to start with. Sometimes I think buying things like that 2nd hand are false economy. Yeah, it might work fine, but I'd rather know that the one that is fitted is brand new and is going to last.
Halfords own is rubbish! Couldn't remove a stain off... well... a stain!
I recommend either the Holtz/Holt wash (that was half decent) or Autoglym do there are screenwash. And going from my experience with Autoglym, I'd stay with them. ;)
Just fitted the K&N kit to my Valver, with a heatshield. Looks nice and sounds amazing. :) You'll probably loose some bhp in hot weather, but hey, it's England it's more cold than hot!
