If the emissions are "perfect" then it stands that both injection and ignition are equally working perfectly. I'm guessing your emissions test was nothing more than a fast idle test at a local MOT station (?)
Start with a proper diagnostic session (code reading is a start but will most likely...
Actually its only a 15" monitor on the Note2 symon, the Note2-X isn't till next month ;)
Honestly, Android has come on loads from the crappy early days and I started taking serious notice of it when ICS came out. Using JB on the Note2 and it's extremely well polished and every app seems to...
The "t" doesn't specifically mean there's a fault with an actual fuel injector per say. Just at some point the instrument cluster has been unable to recieve the injector flow info via CAN. There could be a number of reasons why it is using more fuel and really it needs proper diagnostics to see...

Not ideal even as a temp measure as the wire will get warm, melt the plug and potentially start a small fire. I've seen people even try this with domestic wire and it still melts the plug and runs the risk of fire.
Fix it right or don't fix it at all.
My 172 hits 36mpg but I know the timing is wrong because I set the inlet slightly advanced... should see an average of 38-40mpg on a run if everything is right with your car.
