I know you didn't and Fred woukd say set it on fire if its got electrical problems of any kind.
You will need small hands to do it without the bumper off but it is possible. The early compressors had a two wire connection (+12v and a perma GND) but the newer units (182's and some late 172's)...
Clio III RS with sticking handbrake problems you say... lolz
If the handbrake lever is pulling high then chances are its either a snapped cable or a calliper mech has failed. First thing to do is get under the arse end and check the cable ends are there. If not replace the cables, if so make...
I'm not Fred or Chip but as someone who "dabbles" with these things on a daily basis I'd advise you start with proper conformity session on the A/C system.
It could just be the main connection to the compressor clutch is corroded up and a clean will see it set again but it could also be a...
He wasn't sure how the perforated material would turn out on the thumb grips (having never tried it before) but its turned out really well.
That cost £140 including him sending it back via next day service... he also replaced a cruise button that got broken my end.
Just search for "snappy" in...
WARNING, LORRY WHEEL CONTENT BELOW
Just had my standard wheel back from Snappy who did some perforated refurb work for me:
Massively impressed with the materials used, the finished quality and the overall service from him.
Many thanks Andy, I love it
Mick
Massive thanks for doing this Dan, if only all trackdays gave you at least one hi-res shot of your car hooning about like this they would be awesome!
I'll drop you an email later with a request for a photo (of my car) and again massive thanks to you for this and to the crackheads from Burpspeed...
You need to plug it in mate, it could be anything from a connection issue somewhere to a fault with the main control relay.
Takes 30seconds to do and eliminates most guess work

Deffo as above, dead alternator and needs sorting fast. Saw this on a Traffic van result in an engine fire... bye bye van! (Blessing in disguise though in that case).
I'd research CAN networks and more importantly how the various systems in that vehicle are intergrated before you start cutting anything!
I once had someone follow this logic:
Start car, cut wire(s), if engine cuts out repair previously cut wire, done
... I can assure you now that logic is wrong.
Our 2011 tCe has a little discharge like build up to... normal on this engine especially if it does short journeys.
I'd still want it cleaning up though.
Most likely answer is you have a ph1 and so no post-CAT sensor. Second most likely answer, its been removed from the loom/hidden somewhere and a single sensor/bodged system fitted.
My money is on option 1
Judging by the look of where the remains of the timing belt rests I'd say its smashed thru the plastic mid cover to... be sure that is replaced not glued. Its role is very important
If its going from the "normal" mid point to slightly low then it would make a poor sealing/stuck open stat a real possibility yes.
It could also be an electrical fault with the vehicle to. Does it do this silly needle dance when the engine is at temp but sat idling or is it only when you drive...
I wouldn't exactly play dumb but you should be on to them first thing tomorrow. Don't shout and scream as that never helps anyone unless they blatently try to wriggle out of it in which case yiu may wish to consider legal action.
This is exactly why I tell people to jog on though when they ask...
I've seen them on the web a few times Fred, they seem to promote the use of used parts to.
Not really, I do them for £380 with both belt kits which is pretty cheap but that's irrelevant now. It's a clear cut neglegence failure and as a Renault Specialist they must have access to a hooky...
Heater position has no effect on bleeding Renaults of this age as the heater matrix is an open unit (no thermostatic valves that open/close).
TBH bleeding these vehicles up is as simple as opening the bleed point on the stat and waiting for air free flow to appear so unless you're doing it on a...
