OK, cool, was just wondering cos the description was "inner arch", wondered whether there were supposed to be an inner and outer on each side. Number 13 seems like what I need then, so I'll be on the phone tomorrow to Renault. Thanks again!
I've got part of a part number...all that's still there is "6000...", the rest is gone because I had to do the last mile or so to get home in order to get it off safely, so it's dragged on the tyre and worn through. I drove home as slowly as I could down the dual carriageway, but I'd just been...
I just realised....you said "inner wheel arch". Does that mean there's supposed to be two plastic parts on each side? I only took one off the car and can see right through from wheel arch to sump, am I missing more bits than I thought?
Cheers! I'm pretty sure the only part that's damaged is the part labelled 13 in that picture (I've just been to take it off the car and everything else seems secure. Do you have the Renault part number for it so I can call around tomorrow to see if I can find one?
edit - and the plastic...
Was just heading back along the A52 at 70 and part of my offside front arch liner has pulled away and then came off. Is there a parts diagram online anywhere so I can work out which parts I need to replace?
Wouldn't say it was particularly easy, as it's bloody cramped under there! But it's done, with a mid-sized cable tie positioned so the bulky bit doesn't foul when the flap moves, and a lot of swearing trying to bolt everything back together. Had the fans on full speed and tested every airflow...
Hm, maybe I'll check it out. From the pictures it looked a bit fiddly, particularly on a UK car where the steering column gets in the way, but we'll see.
So I seem to have this problem on a recently purchased 182, even with the temp set to Mini(mum) I'm getting hot air out. I pretty much know the AC works because I only bought the car a few days ago and it was ice cold. So I'm guessing I have this problem, will be trying to adjust the temperature...

Noticed that the...
Bump, because I can't find anyone who's actually answered this question. My Ph2 172 has a Halfords 360A battery (dunno what Ah, I assume the 360 is the CCA figure). ECP and the like list a type 065 or 075 battery for my car based on the reg number, but this seems too big (24cm long, I think my...
Yeah, that's the only symptom so I can live with it for a while. Not sure how long the car will last anyway, it's really just a cheap-but-sporty runaround to replace my Fabia that I sold recently, if I decide that Renault ownership is definitely for me then I'm likely to save up a bit of cash...
Diamond Motors are near me (I'm in Nottingham). But would they be able to sort it? I've read in a few threads that once a UCH is programmed to a car, that's it, so they can't be re-used unless you take ancillaries like the ECU and immobiliser from the donor car too?
Ah, fair enough. Since that's the only symptom, I'll just leave it for now since it seems that dealers have to be involved so it's probably not going to be a cheap fix. As for the cig lighter, I'll have to see if I can get a smaller converter or something. I hardly ever use my phone as a satnav...
Just picked up a Phase 2 172 from a friend of a friend. Car seems straight enough for what it cost, few rattles but nothing too major. Two things I've noticed so far though:
1) The cigarette lighter. At first I thought it wasn't working, because when I put my USB converter in it to charge my...
I'm not a Clio driver currently, nor have I ever been one, but I'm considering making the change from my current German TDI into a French NA petrol. Just signed up so I can spend some time browsing and figuring out 172 vs 182, cup vs non-cup, and maybe open the classifieds and find one of these...
