I'm not sure how I've missed this up until now, but very nice job. You don't half throw a lot of money at cars though, some commitment! (Especially given you have other people fit things!)
Love the side skirt stickers, really old CS feel to those and you got a decent fitting front bumper...
It's it's squeaking whilst ticking over, then going when you depress the clutch though? Twas only a suggestion. Mine made some funny noises on the ph1 before it gave up is all.
Yeah exactly, it's a weird one which is why I was curious, and I just fancied a decent debate/Q&A.
Also, I could do 2k miles on a track per year, for which I'm not insured anyway, it's hardly fair I couldn't use a limited mileage policy because I choose to drive my car on a private track.
Exactly Chip, I'm not talking about him having a separate policy on my car, which is illegal, but to have third party cover on his own insurance, (lets just say for instance it doesn't say "for use in emergencies" in the policy.
Gandalf may have done 4k miles in my car, but the car has been...
I hope we do all realise this is genuinely theoretical.
The reason I was wondering is because from an insurance perspective, (if you were my insurer) "Gandalf" isn't your problem. He's his own insurers, so why does it matter how many miles he does in my car to YOU? Surely my insurance policy...
Mileage always made a difference for me, the difference between 12k and 18k was quite large on my 172 iirc. Didn't check the zed as I don't drive so far now. I know drive/road/garage often don't really feature though.
Really like that, although the back plate needs chopping down (I don't care if it's illegal).
Not sure i'm a fan of the black wheels but it's probably lack of definition in the photos or contrast in my screen.
Since when is it for emergencies?
Also, it's not him that's crashed, it's me. So surely, he's out of the equation really as it's nothing to do with his insurer either?
Whilst I know you're right, I wonder how they stand here.
Say they caught me out and said I'd done 20k miles in a year but have 12 on the policy, if I say "my mum drove 8k in it" they'd be a bit stuck.
Right, something on here got me thinking:
I buy a car, I'm only going to do 5k miles in it max.
I insure the car for 5k miles, greatly reducing the premium (well at least reducing it).
Now, I'm not at home 30% of the year in random intervals, so I let my good pal (we'll call him...
I don't see why an actual dent puller couldn't get those out.
Go to a dent guy, stump up some money, and it'll go well.
The alternative is to keep hitting it and break the paint or similar.
Doesn't Danny have a second man now?
Dawn, if you take that car to Renault rather than Danny, I'll slap you next time I see you.
Danny doing the car will be a) cheaper, b) he'll do a better job c) the stamp will be worth more to anyone that know their onions come re-sale.
Seriously, I took...
Why would JS be required???
You can build adaptable sites using CSS? You just have the site use a different stylesheet based upon the browser size, you can check this works by "restoring" the window and then dragging it in and out in size, it'll adapt.
Why not write varibale CSS for the mobile version Dan?
You can get sites to use different CSS templates depending upon the size of the browser window, surely this could be incorporated for what sized images are displayed. i.e in non tenchical terms
if browser size X = <800px then load.....
How many really crappy connections do we have now though?
Really nice site though mate, very professional and clean looking. I'd go with larger images, poor connections are in the minority, which in web design, you never have as a primary audience consideration..
I only ask as I ran a seriously modified ph1 and was pulled twice by traffic, never did I get a mention on any issues. At all. Be polite, be understanding, even have a laugh if you can. Just be a decent, grown up human being and 99% of the time you'll be fine,
Genuine question for the OP, were you driving like a total weapon or hanging about in a car park? Did you get out the car with a "what blud" kind of attitude?
Oh and I bought a brand new front bumper to be painted as mine has seen better days, got it for such a bargain it was rude not to.
And I've paid for it too :o , honest Luke.
Well, I think it's trying to break me.
Had some weird noses coming from the back end, the kind of weird that we thought was the driveshaft, fitted a driveshaft last night, but nope, it's the bearing. So that's all got to come apart again and have the new bearing pressed in. Great.
But on...
