You need to be under the "hood" to read this, as other wise the positions don't make sense...

Mate, don't spend money!! PCV can be deleted without a catch can, according to Tuffty on AS.net (mod and all round knowledge bank of the 8L section). Yours is a BAM of course? Same as mine. You can rip out and reconnect and not have a PCV system or catch can install, which is the route I'm going...
I didn't, remember I mixed up N249 and the PCV system in here? Still haven't swapped over the standard DV you linked me to either! In fact, the only touching my car has had is me sitting in it at 4am when I couldn't sleep and testing the 3k rev/10g/s rule for boost leaks!
Idea of it, Jamie, is to remove as much dirt as poss before touching the car (less dirt = less dirt on the mitt to drag around = less swirls). However, in this case, it's to remove as much dirt as poss with just a jet wash down. If you look at my CP thread, you'll see what a difference a spray...
Yeah I didn't think that was clever when I posted it. Sorry, Ben.
RDS - Rapid Dirt Shifter - a product from DemonShine/CarPlan that's £6 for a litre bottle from Halfords, ASDA, few other places. It's a wax safe pre-wash product, so dissolves dirt. Similar to AutoFinesse Citrus Power (check out...
Far too OTT, Baller.
Drive in, spray on RDS and WWHW, pay for jet wash to let it dwell, brush wheels, jet wash off, towel down.
Drive (500 yards) home, tyre shine, C2V3 all over, done.
HELLO
Exactly this. CP or RDS spray down at the jet wash, go pay, come back and it's worked its magic, jet wash off, towel down and/or drive off. In fact I'll be doing it this weekend and using Hydr02.
Not any more lad. Run one through the house. And I'm on the ground floor.
I use to take it to the local jet wash, spray on a pre-wash and then jet it down. But it left tide marks as the water coming out of the j/w was so hard.
My new car. TTQS
£6.99 though Ant. Let me try the iOBD2 first when the wifi port arrives on Thursday and I'll feedback. No point spending if it's no different. I only want faults, rpm/speed/0-62-100 and MAF anyway.

Re: My new car. TTQS
Cheers for the link, just didn't fancy paying £6.99 for it to be as laggy as some have reported! Bought the Elm327 though, so thanks for that. Comes with a year's warranty as well which is nice peace of mind.
Sort that bay out! Or come to a meet and I'll do it!
Re: My new car. TTQS
CP4L were out of stock when I looked :( and when you say "proper K&N" do you mean it's a K&N filter i.e. oiled? As that'll knacker the MAF, so those 225g/s (you barsteward) won't last long!
And I presume that's a Samsung app as can't find it for the iPhone/iPad :(
Re: My new car. TTQS
Also, what are you using to log buddy? Looks like a useful app. Tempted to buy a Bluetooth OBDII dongle so I can log on the go. Getting the laptop (with a s**t battery) out all the time is flipping annoying.
No worries, Joe. I was tempted to test its degreasing abilities against Verso as well, but as CP is wax safe, I felt the two aren't as comparable and it's a waste of CP!
Proper job! That would be a great test bed. Is is protected?
Pretty much my thinking as I take advantage of the 342 that some retailers do for AF products.
Haha, see, again, this is the thing. CP is superb, but due to the cost, it's definitely a Summer vs wax product, rather than a Winter vs...
