why uprate your alternator mate?they all kick out ample voltage!! all they do is charge your batt? why bother??

i drove an rsi when i had a valver, it seemed slow as f**k. i reckon an xsi would be considerably quicker than the rsi. as for the gti6, i had a modded valver n lets just say i tried to (overtake) him :oops: he left me for dead!
less than 1k by the sound of it mate. why not just get a quick respray n get some tyres. spend a bit of money on it sortin bits n bobs n u will prob get around 2k for it. not much profit but i bet it will sell faster.

mk1 are slightly quicker n quite rare. get yourself one!;)
mk1 front end better lookin but rear is in favour of mk2. do what im goin to do n put mk 2 bumper on with the lights off mk2 also, giving u best of both worlds!
i have a mk1 172. its slow as f**k till over 4k ish but how many 16v cars are like this! thats just what cars r like. unless uve got a turbo n it rips your arms off at 2k with all that psi your running! ;)
will mk2 172 rub strips fit on a mk1? mines siver n wanted them colour coded but want silver badges...
so thought maybe mk2 will fit?anyone no?
