Keep your 16v head and just drop the megane bottom end !! Make sure its the 2.0 16v IDE bottom from a pre 99 megane coupe !!

Also make sure that the blue/white striped cable from the HU is the amp remote turn on wire as this might be an electric ariel cable or summit !! And make sure the fuse in the cable to the battery is ok !!

Make sure the earth is a proper earth as that bolt may not be connected to bear metal !! Try removing some paint in the boot and connecting like that !! If its sparks and turns on then thats your prob
