i bought a 2nd hand quarter for my old clio for £25 but i never got round to taking it off. in the end i decided it would just be easier to buy a new one and fit it
ide say you could get it done for about 1k, maybe less maybe, more, depends where you go.
dont go to a big place as the labour...
paint does change colour, but mostly not that much.
it fades, gets weathered and can oxodise. most of the time it can be restored with a simple good polish with a cutting compound, other times it may have faded that much that the colour has to be tinted to match the new colour.
tbh halfords paint is fine.
black is very very easy to match
alternativley you could goto renault and pay extra, or goto autopaint.co.uk
or find your local paint supplier and get a couple of cans up mixed to match which average at about £10 per can
myself ide bond it down with some sikaflex
clean everything up and dry out the window, put a bit on the underside of the rubber along where it slides in, push it back in, wrap some masking tape from your window onto your door or window onto roof to hold it down into place while it dries
tbh i dunno the price for screens,
but a small rear window.. time x materials = nowhere near £75, you wouldnt even use 1/4 of a tube of bonding adhesive
get a hosepipe on it anyway, see if it leaks, if not, glue it down
probably best to ask someone in body repair to check your car over for you and then phone dentmaster/chipsaway with a list of stuff you want doing.
if they come out and cant find bugger all its a bit of a wasted journey
i aint sorry mate, im sure someone will be along and be able to give you a part number though
maybe try PM "edde" im sure he knows all the part numbers
when i dropped the sunroof out of my old mk1, the actual roof could be pushed down about 8 inch.
theres no reinforcement there at all whatsoever, thin as f**k they are
just repair it, if you get a new one its all gotta be painted so the colour could be out to the wing/door/quarter
if you repair it you can just basecoat the area thats repaired then laquer the rest which shouldnt affect the colour.
lot of hassle stripping n refitting a new sideskirt when its...
if its leaking itll need the window taking out and rebonding, you could put in a new rubber while it was out
but if it aint leaking i really wouldnt bother replacing it, just bond it down
front or back window?
back window should just be in with a rubber and no sealent so just go to renault n get a new rubber n change it.
if its the front screen, spray water down there from hosepipe and see if its leaking at all, if not, just bond it down with some sikaflex or something
