Ideally needs plugging in but if i had to guess I'd go with Crank Pos. Sensor if its a hot start issue but cold is fine.

the switch is needed im afraid. remove it and the lamp will remain on all the time unless you ground it out. chances are its just the switch again but not all low oil pressure faults result in tapping or ticking noises.

Sounds H02 related so concur - obviously live data will confirm/deny though.

It will be to do with how the Software/ELM interface reads and interpruts the data stream... this is why they say the software is not for commercial use but its proberbly handy to have.

Not quite that simple i'm afraid as the "bulb" is an SMD so not something you can easily change. Firstly carry out a bulb test by putting the clockset into test mode. If it lights up the fault is with the ABS system or the cars wiring so needs to be checked. If however the bulb doesnt light up...

Personally i'd suggest you get a second opinion cos these things rarely end up being the components like the ECM and turn out to be wiring or CAN-Bus issues. Proper diagnostics are the key to cracking these issues and i've fixed my fair share of Clio II's that refuse to start with so called imob...

What flywheel are they using to convert from? My current K4M unit in my Scenic was originally DMF and i converted that without any issue (I know parts are a little more available). A faulty DMF can cause damage to things such as starter motor, clutch and slave assembly and the gearbox itself.

Deffo DMF issue then - worst things ever as customers think i'm on the make when I tell them how much they are and that they need it. Sympathies but what issues are people having fitting an SMF?
