So what's the deal with this 5S then. Is it worth the bump from the 4S? Still going over in my mind. Last list of reasons to upgrade didn't do much, so just renewed, got a new 4S with a 12 month warranty and sold the old one...
Larger screen, meh - I don't movie/game.
4G - presume the S will...
Mercury is a cracking product. Dad's kicks out a lot of carbon, so with four chromed exhausts, it's a life saver. Really need to protect them at some point, but need to get them squeaky clean first which will take some time!
HI! Lol. Starting to consider this, as one reason for not upgrading (like my case) has broken. Feel like a new toy, but will get no use out of any of the upgrades...
Does that not compound Pizza Boy's point? Excuse the detailing pun...
As AF have said, use a cutting product, SRP/Tripple/Rej as they sound like hard water marks or grease. Dirt sticks to these marks, water vapour sticks to the dirt = steaming up windscreen.
The insurance section may help you more, but yes you could put the car on a policy then cancel - you'd have to pay the full premium, then cancel and get the remaining cost back as a refund. Or just don't drive the 182 until you're 21...
Someone has, Dave - they raved about it, either on here or DW.
edit - in response to above, they had the same findings (i.e. having to polish afterwards as was inflicting more marks than a fine clay).
edit of an edit - was it Andy aka Chappppppppppppppppppers?
Saw this coming back through London last night. Have absolutely no idea what it was, couldn't get close enough for a decent photo either, sadly.
Any ideas?!
Deinitely won't strip it, pal. Had C2V3 on for a few months, with monthly RDS spray downs (undiluted) and then jet washed. Beading as tight as when I first applied it.
Yep.
Jay, yes RDS is wax safe, but now depends on how cheap you can get it. It's only worth it when it's £3 as it works the same as AF Citrus Power 1:1 diluted with water, which is £10 per litre undiluted, so £5 when the same power as RDS (RDS is £6).
New EZ Detail brush, 1l IronX and a Scholl spot pad for the brief AF Tripple detail over the weekend. Came to a couple of quid over £40, but rounded down by Phil from Shinearama. Ta!
You are kidding :( two weeks out I missed this!! We were in Paterdale, but walking round Buttermere as a cool down after Castle Crag, Wednesday 4th! Looks great chap.
Agreed, looks superb buddy!
However, keep an eye on that Eraser. Looks to be particles in it that will mark freshly polished paint. Could just be dust on the bottle, but Jim White had a nightmare recently having fully corrected a Monaro!!
Gold tin is 476. Lasts forever, but my God don't over apply it or you'll never get it off.
It mutes the flake pop in metallics and dulls the finish of most other colours. It's great, however, for unseen painted or metal parts (suspension, engine bay, door shuts etc) but that's as far as I'd use...
