Yep mine started to do this recently, i suspect its the CV joint so im replacing with another driveshaft.
Also could be just a rear caliper slider but im guessing Mark fish would have checked that.

And shocks here...
if your looking for just noise then the k-tech mild steel isnt a bad shout. if you want cheap and just noise sportex do one too for not much money.
Induction kit i really wouldn't bother. far to much heat soak on an already low power engine. been there done it and you should save the pennies...
From what i've read on the PMS systems is the build quality is second to none! a few topics on them recently all saying its a really good fit and good craftsmanship
So another year of the Clio being on the road :)
Picked up a driveshaft from @Kelv along with the rest of the dash parts needed to complete the conversion. That will be started later on in the month :)
Rear brakes are making a funny knocking noise which i noticed on the way back though so...
Yep sounds exactly the same notice it when coming upto junctions or traffic lights slowly
Na Ph1 but still the rear brakes do so little anyway. They need replacing anyway so along with some axle spacers i'll clean and grease them at the end of the month all in one shot.
Hi all
Hopefully this isnt a big issue however the car has developed a fairly loud clunking/knocking noise from the rear when braking at slow speeds
At first I thought it was the driveshaft but now it's louder it's certainly coming from the rear.
I can't hear any usual bearing noise under...
Good news! didn't need a new gaiter in the end so just packed the boot with a shed load of grease and put a proper clip on instead of a zip tie!
In for re-test thursday morning so all being well another year of driving the Ph1.
Nice on thanks buddy.
Also turns out that you can't just buy a gaiter and new clip for the passenger side drive shaft :S so it needs a total replacement :S
Either way for the moment as its not actually split and just needs a regrease and clip putting on i'll do that so i can get it through the...
i'll sew if I can grab one from somewhere, I think my thread on the spacers is F'd if I'm honest.
Yeah gaiter won't cost much, brakes i'll do end if the month too, probably her them George
Failed on.
Wheel bolt missing. :-S
washer fluid empty
drive shaft gater split
Chuffed with that!!
Although rear brakes need doing soon and he said that the rear axel is ever so slightly bent but a 5mm spacer would sort it
Actually there is kind of a side on picture of mine in this thread. The car is on a slight slope so the sill is more visible

The sport side skirts do cover the sills up to a degree, will see if i can get a picture when I get home.
Not to sure on the fog blanks though, i'd imagine so but don't take my word for it.. Im guessing your doing a Sport Rep?
Pic of how it sits please Mark
That link to the Silicone bend doesn't have an 18mm :(
Also does anyone know if a K&N will fit between the headlamp and battery. Might chuck a 90 degree bend on and use my K&N till i get the rest through.
Really does look lovely this buddy, You down this way any time soon, meet up for some pictures or something/possibly lend a hand with some dash conversion ;) lol
A couple of different grades of wet and dry then a cutting compound will see you right. Worked a treat on my ph1 lights.
Just be sure to seal them well or they'll quickly go yellow again.
Sounds like a nice upgrade then!
I may have to look into it. Be sure to tag me when you have a video. Be good to hear the difference.
My k-tec with cat and center silencer still seems to drone to much and would prefer a more raspy sound.
