Anyone know of the extra costs to my premium if I was to claim for a new front bumper on my cup? Ive aquired quite a few stone hits and what looks to be cats scratching away! Its not a major problem but would be nice to have a tidy nose.
Do the premiums go up a lot?
WTF?!
If I remember correctly, my old focus had almost as hard shocks and springs as my cup, if not they felt better so what are you on? I think you might be quite dissapointed when you get your RACING blue 182.
I got one of the older sony MD head units and its not bad but Im not sub & amp man so just run the head unit.
The new ones are a bit too bling for my liking.
I got 12k from my first set of contis and 6-7k from the second front set, the original rears could have done 20k easy. If you dont plan to swap brand then you might aswell leave the rears where they are. Cups are so light at the rear theyll never wear out.
Also had F1s on briefly and Im sure...

yeah, i do 40 miles a day to and from work which doesnt help but its worth it...ah the A507, what a road. Wait until 20000 miles, she should feel even better...
I had them on my cup and didnt like them. They are a lot stickier than the contis but I found quite a bit of side movement from the rear especially under heavy braking and faster driving. I got them for 77 quid each fitted and the guy came to the door.
Id imagine they wear out a lot faster...

i know it states the cup has a wider track is it noticeable?
Maybe slightly to drive but I can notice it visually which is probably why a standard 172 looks lower?
Personal to the driver at the end of the day I think. I drove both but went for the cup as I like the more unique appeal and Im a fan of the more basic/raw type aswell. I see my cup as an elise with a roof if that makes sense?! Plus I only payed £12200 brand new for mine 2 xmas ago so bit of a...
Got a cup and tried removing the rear seats but cant seem to disconnect the central bit?? any tips welcome, want to be light as posssible for tommorow at bedford.
Mine got better after about 3000 & 20000-22000 miles, loosened up nicely. Must say though, and this is sad, I stall mine all the time. Not the easiest or best clutch/biting point Ive come accross IMO.
The reason I ask is that over the past few months a guy has been coming round my road in a Y plate mk1 172 covered in decals one of which is Mark Fish Motorsport. Theres a chequered flag, Autosport mag, OZ, Michelin and a few more. Doesnt look too bad, got OZ super Ts, body kit, Magnex exhaust...
If I could Id go back to the contis again, Ive had GS-D3s all round and not convinced by them...so if anyone wants 4 at a good price then let me know??
Dont suppose theres anyone in the Herts/Essex/Beds area that knows how to change springs on a cup is there? Im extremely reluctant to pay 80-100 snots for just the work. I appreciate its not a quick or easy job but surely theres a like minded petrol head out there that wouldnt mind helping me...
