I got some EBC kevlar pads about 2000 miles ago and they quickly devloped a knocking sound. Thought it was serious o took my cup in and they told me because they werent pattern pads (renault) they may be a slightly different size. Fair enough I thought but they said theres nothing wrong them at...
I should be getting a bit of cash soon, enough for a mod or 2 on my Cup. Dont want to slam it (although a little drop might be ok) nor do I want to change wheels etc. Im much more interested in doing stuff under the bonnet.
Viper kits, replacment filters etc... To tell the truth, I havent got...
Has anyone ever seen or done powder coating for alloy wheels. Id love to get my Turinis on my cup in Anthricite or as near as.
I know it wouldnt cost much but finding someone to do it is another thing, and how well to?
Any comments would be great.
Thing is when I had the dealer fit the pads they came out with some rubbish about the pads not being a renault part and if there was any squeeking etc. they wouldnt sort it.
It is a useless dealer but its 5 mins walk from work where the only other one is a way away. Hmmm....
Cheers for the...
Ie just had some EBCkevlar pads fitted to my cup, let them bed in for about 300 miles but gave it some big time lovin the other night and now I get a quiet knock when I apply pressure?!
Its hardly noticable but wasnt there before and mainly happens when braking lightly at around 10-40 mph. It...
Ive been searching for info on the Goodyear Eagle F1s. The Contis on my cup are not far off being changed, this time all 4 which is a b**ch.
Ive seen theres lots of talk about GS-D2s and D3s. My tyre guy says D2s arent available in the 195/45/R16 size but Ive noticed people in here have...
Weve all been here before, the question of lowering a cup. Ive had mine now for just over a year, done a trackday and it gets better every day I drive her.
Ive just forked out 300 snots for the bonnet to be resprayed because of large stone chips/flakes which Renault didnt want to know about...
Ive just gone over 18000 miles in my cup and she seems a bit quicker, especially in the lower gears. I remember my old focus loosened (spelling) up after about the same.
Has anyone else had this?
Thats EVO mag teritory if Im right?? They always seem to get a good deal from what Ive read in the longtermers. But, they are a car mag so Im sure theyd get a good reception.
My cups got locks on both sides and bonnet lever on the left.
A few cars have their wipers on the opposite side, probably to save a lot of money for the machning and engineering costs etc...
I know it sounds a bit silly but the guy that decided to take the strike patch off of one side of...
They are a nice seat, I was going to go for one but theyre not suitable for kids around the 1 year old mark!! Shame, but I do now have my Maxi-Cosi seat in formula red which is a nice sporty contrast to the mondail blue on my cup, LOL.
After around 6-7000 miles my Cup went into renault for a small part to be fixed. I also asked them to check the brakes because they were sqeeking.
I got the car back and they said a stone had rotated through half of the brake pad and got stuck, resulting in a ring that appeared on the disc...
Im going to have to get tyres soon-ish, thought I might go for the Goodyear F1s. Trouble is I need 4!!
Can someone give me the full name and number/spec of the tyre, I know the sizes LOL.
Cheers
I used to use wonder wheels and have changed to COMMA car cleaning gear, its so much better and comes in a spray. Get a brush and scrub, this way you dont even need to get your hands wet.
Mark,
One of the best posts Ive read in a long time. People moan about the people that moan (if that makes sense??) about their cups/172s and say theyve changed their minds. Youve just summed up what Ive been getting for the past 11 months in mine, 15000 miles on...
...keep on truckin dude.
Right, youll probably say go away here but Ill try anyway.
If you have build quality in mind then I reckon you should go for a Lupo GTi. I know theyre not as fast as the other 0-60 in around 8 seconds but they are a superbly built car. And, IMO in this day and age exclusivity is a major...
Lately my clutch pedal has been a bit sticky in my cup, it doesnt have a smooth action, has anyone else had this?
I just hope its not the clutch itself?
I wonder if they have a look in here at the forum, youd think they should if they were supposedly modifying clios?? Ive also noticed they dont advertise in EVO anymore.
