"Raceglaze Alcantara Cleaner comes pre-diluted to the correct strength for safe use on all Alcantara surfaces, and should thus be used neat. For stain removal, we recommend that it is sprayed on to the affected area lightly and then agitated lightly using either a Raceglaze Leather Brush or...
No. But before they look like an old sweater that has bobbles on it. After looks like a sweater that doesn't have bobbles on it after being de-bobbled.
GT. easily the game changer of 2011/12. C4/5/1 are still the go to products for semi perm wheel/plastic/paint protection, G1/3 for windows, Gwash is superb, C2V3 is exceptional by all accounts, i1 is the best fabric protector I've used... Need I go on?
Should be good if it has nanosealant self clean properties as proposed above.
As suggested, the only concerns with a product like this, or rather the only query in my eyes, is bonding to surface (what ever that surface may be covered in, i.e. glaze).
Malice, where are you based? There's a chap in the NW who you'd have a good chat to. Runs a garage and personal runs a B6 S4, B5 RS4 500+ and a B5 S4 600+. And some "shitters" (S3s with BT conversions).
This likely to last on wheels? Appreciate it has nano sealant properties, but the bonds of products to the medium are the weak point on high temp locations...? Questioning, not questioning you ;)
Kev, please upload the video (going to buy it anyway, but would be good to see). On a similar note, I hand cleansed the panzer before a show a few years back. Then used V1 over the top. With two layers, some minor marks were filled. With three layers, it basically looked like I had cleansed and...
Great work Ant! Photos are a bit off, happy to offer my services next time instead of the drop top ghey ;)
When is the next detail booked in for? Fancy dropping by!
Buying a bottle for a brief top up detail due at the end of this month, Kev. Hope it's as good as you say, although if it's even marginally better than V1 I'll be happy for 6 months.
Not necessarily. If the car is well protected a low pressure hose off will work. Or a product like auto finesse citrus power will break it down, leaving it easy to rinse off.
Wipi g is a no no. Birds eat grit to aid digestion. This poop it out leaving it on your paint.
Durable, yes. But 476s will mute the flake pop on metallic cars and generally make silver cars look dull. If you want something as durable, but with better looks, try 915 Insulator wax.
SN is pretty average in the grand scheme of things. And for £50-65, it's way overpriced. Nattys Blue Paste at £15 looks better an lasts longer with correct prep and app.
If the budget is £50 go for Carbon. If lower, Bouncers.
This isn't the halfords shopping section, chap. The products you've listed (save for LP) are terrible.
For £22 you can buy P1 and a hand cut pad. Probably a few MFs as well. So OP, I suggest taking that advice...!
500 is far too coarse. But people use it as they see results more quickly.
3000 and 4000 should be used to remove the marks imparted by 2000 grit.
People expect immediate results, hence the "botch job" 3M kit sells so well.
RDS was £2.25 in ASDA (1/4 the price of CP), so got a load cheap in Halfords as well in their price match. Wax safe, not quite as effective as CP however from testing by... yellow someone, Belly or Dave.
And yes, I know you're a cunitdot. ;)
