Agreed, but nothing like the amount of money and research goes into them as with standard paint finishes. So always leaves me wondering just how good they actually are, being such a tiny market.
Weak APC solution with a gently brush is a good start. Or if not textured, simply a MF rub down should do the trick. Always try an inconspicuous area of course. What are they, plastic?
Yes, but M105 is pretty heavy. How hard is the paint? Ideally something lesser like IP3.02 then 85 to finish...
MF pads give a DA more cut, so is more akin to correcting with a rotary, but with the ease of use of a DA. For Audi paint, they're useful. For Clios, I'd stick with the Hex pads personally.
Definitely apply tripple by finishing pad or hand. Are you correcting or masking?
A shame such silly paint doesn't allow you to use better products. All this Renault and BMW BS paint... waste of time for average looks (all IMO of course).
Cracking Ant. Really was. Friday was spent dicking about in the cars on the way up, then 80s LM cars zipping round until 7pm, while getting some sun, boozing and BBQing. Saturday we walked round more as it was packed with metal and women, Aston parade lap in the DB7 Vantage Volante, more racing...
C2V3 is a cinch to apply. Beads well (so easier to wash down the bike after a ride) and longevity is meant to be 8 months. However, even if it was 3-4 months, it's so simple to apply it is probably your best bet.
Eh?
Jay, yes to your point about in the elements. So protecting the bike before it gets stored is probably not necessary (dependant on how good the storage is). One thing to make sure of is that it is clean and dry, so salts; water; and other contaminants do not affect the metal work and paint...
LIKE!
Gentle fabric cleaner with a soft brush, then wet vac'd. It's not the water that's stained, more the contaminants the water contains (minerals, salts etc), leaving a boundary.
Didn't know anyone from here was going - we were in the BRDC Farm for the weekend as I know a few of the racers. Cracking weekend as per. Fifth year I've been and just gets better and better (except for the 2" of rain in 30 mins on Saturday night). Good thing friends had RVs! Rum and rain!
Mate, as said, confuddled. Piss easy product done in sub-standard conditions (9pm when not rid of water marks, and boy, these things were like calcium mountains due to the shitty water in the South).
