26, i wouldnt worry about the age thing, anyone who knows anything about cars and their image should hopefully all be readers of the great EVO (bible) mag. And they love it.
After reading the long term section, im even taking a shine to their MR2, and i used to hate them.
I have a Cup and my local Renault dealer told me they use Castrol GTX 10 W 40 oil. As my trust with dealerships is near enough non existant (mainly due to my last car, built by those chaps at Ford), it would be great to hear your advice on here...who i do trust by the way. We all know that...
Thinking about it, I saw a couple at the third Renault trackday at Bedford that were dropped. Supposed to be a good investment from what I heard.
I wouldnt do anything alse though.
Mine has on a couple of occasions not started with the first turn of the key but always second time.
Also mine sometimes is a little lumpy from cold, feels a bit jumpy if you know what i mean? But after half a mile or so its cool.
If you live near or can get to Stevenage then give Alan a call at N & C Tyres. He did both tyres on my cup for £124.
Mobile service and a decent bloke, did it all in about 20 minutes aswell, nice.
Ive got a Cup, and it came with the standard ContiSportContacts which are 195/45/R16s.
However, after reading the new EVO and many in the past, because they do love the 172s etc, i wondered why they say the clio should wear a 40mm profile? Is this just a typo/error?
The most recent review...
My cup has drunk naff all and ive done 9000 miles so far. changed the oil at 2000 (just to be kind) and have done a track day since to, didnt drink a drop.
Optimax in my cup goes down like a pint on a hot day! I read the feature in EVO mag which basically said optimax is good cos it cleans better.
Id put it in everytime but i get company fuel which is pukka, but its not with a well recognised station...nevermind.

According to Waters of Letchworth, Castrol GTX 10 w 40 is the oil.
Who knows with car dealers though, my cup just...
