Wish I'd spent so little buying my first car, spending money on cars is a waste of time until you can afford to insure decent ones.
Hindsight eh?
Good buy.
This doesn't work? When I hold down the inside lock button my immobiliser doesn't go solid red.
I've tried bump starting, some guys helped me out.
I think the battery is properly dead.
This is the first time this has happened, car has been starting fine for ages, but right now I'm stuck in car park, when I turn the key, I get all dash lights and everything goes off, but no turning over whatsoever, there's just a constant beep from the engine bay.
Any ideas? I'd really like to...
The black bit all around the edge? Plus they don't look right, the letters aren't evenly spaced, the V, A and Y all look too slim/squashed.
It's being picky, but a pair of perfectly clean normal plates is only like 20 quid.
Re: 200 valuation
I'm completely un-affiliated with them, in fact, I'd never buy anything from them, but if you want a quick and easy sale, K-Tec have just started selling cars, and I know they're offering quite good rates for buying used stock, might be worth having a chat with them.
Re: 200 valuation
People don't hate valuation threads because of the topic, they hate them because there is a dedicated thread already for them that no one seems to use.
The Clio will lose you more money upfront, but the Evo will cost much more over time, if you were happy to turbo the Clio and keep it for 5 years plus, then that's what I'd do, but if you think you'll fancy a change in a year then go for the Evo.
From what I hear, a low boost Clio is pretty...
If you take the bass to a sub in the boot or whatever, does this stop the rattling of the car? Most of my rattles seem to come from the door cards, I have the bass set to -6, I would love love love to be able to have decent audio at a decent volume, it's the most frustrating thing about the car...
It has its own charm, mainly that it's on a Ph1, but in terms of comparing colours purely, then LY is a much nicer yellow than Sunflower Yellow, both are better than the s**t flat yellow you get on the Meg 250 though.
If you saw Sunflower Yellow on almost any other car it'd look naff, whereas...
Made a little change today:
Got rid of my climate panel with worn buttons. The new one needs a quick going over with a cloth to smooth out the little scratches, the new one isn't 100% perfect, but it's a good improvement, the light in the photo shows up the scratches, but I'd guess most...
That's really good - current information was one of the hardest things to find when looking at reviews etc, finding Pistonheads threads that say XYZ Powder will do them for 20 quid a corner, and finding out that was in 2009, and now they want 50 quid a corner. :dapprove:
Good deal, especially as they're losing out the bigger the wheel gets, because of diameter, they need some sort of factorial pricing structure if they do the maths properly - getting 19" wheels done for 19 quid a corner is silly cheap, how recent was this?
If he was paying for a plasti-dip, then he really missed a trick not getting it done in Riviera Blue, possibly the best car colour available, right up there with LY, Midnight Purple and Audi Velvet Purple.
The best solution is a Raspberry Pi, running Raspbmc. The Pi costs about £25 and you need an SD card, which is about a fiver, and then you can either use a wireless dongle which costs pennies, or use an ethernet cable for internet connection. HDMI cable for audio/video to the TV, and if you have...
I'd love a HM Aeron or something really expensive, but it's just not plausible. I don't spend loads of time sat at the desk, maybe a 3-4 hour stint once or twice a fortnight with an hour here and there in between.
I guess a lot depends on how low you are, I'm on Eibach Prolines, which are a very small drop - my splitter goes over the curb at my old works parking space.
