    Ignis number 2

Not much I can do without deep pockets. A cheap Clio with good brakes and tyres makes more sense.

    172 Cup (fingers crossed)

I'm definitely going to have to concentrate harder with no ABS and 172ps

Yep, that's pretty much the bottom line matey :)

I was deliberately trying to flick the back end out, which you can see in the chicane before the straight. Hopefully it'll be sorted with the camber bolts :)

I funking love Ignis's I do! Just wish it was that little bit quicker so I could hang with Mick and Andy!

So here's a little update... The silver Ignis had already done Bedford, Oulton and several runs at Curborough this year, so I decided to give it a go at Donington Park for my birthday. I decided not to opt for track tyres and being tight went for some Hankooks instead (which I later regretted!)...

    Astra H Sporthatch

I think you're the most sensible eighteen year-old I've ever come across... So much so that I thought your avatar was actually you. It's nice to see though, even though you're applying all that attention to detail on a Vauxhall. Does look shiny though

    Gone Jap :)

Nice! Can't beat an MX-5 for cheap driving enjoyment! Here's mine... I couldn't get on with the MX-5 forums and meets... I found them a dull bunch!

[Dec 11, 2014] Regular West Midlands Meet (Wolverhampton)

I should be there all being well. Turning up in a Clio is less likely though!

    Martin's DCi 80

I think I enjoy seeing someone tidying up a rough car more than reading how someone spent a fortune making their sporty car sportier. Fair play dude, fair play.

    Newbie in need of help

I sold mine years ago, and despite the remap and filter it was probably running more or less standard power. I fitted the coilovers and a rollcage and that was about it really.

    Newbie in need of help

I had mine remapped and couldn't tell the difference!

I had KW v1 coilovers on mine and I really rated them.

    Newbie in need of help

If you've bought it to make it go faster then I'm afraid you've bought the wrong type of car. You're going to need mega money to make it significantly faster. They were built as great handling all-rounders, not dragstrip queens.

    Newbie in need of help

The 197 is already a good car straight out the factory, and any amount of money you spend on it is probably wasted. I recommend you book yourself a trackday and some driving tuition, and maybe you'll get an opportunity to get the most from your new purchase.

Mop and seal for winter? any takers?

Surprised people recommend Russ. I don't know anyone who likes or trusts him.

    Anyone remember this X5?

Red bonnet grilles really tie the car together.

Thanks, Matt... You're the fella with the black Clio am I right? I think I've been out with you before on the Sprinting Intro day.

    Melted spark plug!! Causes?

Gutted to see you having issues mate, especially on such a critical day. Hope it's a simple and inexpensive fix!
