Re: North West Meet Jibba Jabba
Not usually in all honesty, there are a few members around Blackpool though.
If you have any suggestions or requests, feel free to start a thread, or PM me, Jon.G or Ash and we can sort it out :)
The weather has been amazing today, clear skies and lovely, warm sun.
So naturally that meant a day on the BMW.
The boot seal fix "appears" to have worked, so time will be the ultimate test.
The rubber was cleaned with eraser and then sealed with Wolfs Trim Coat:
Plastic trim was über...
Ask and you shall receive:
Collected the doors today, I'm sure my mum will be chuffed when she finds all this in the front room :D
Back of the valance is now undersealed:
Chassis front end painted black:
Fuel filler cap fitted, needs a little bit of tweaking before it fits perfectly...
Mine will be getting some mods tbf.
The front valance has already been smoothed off for de-bumpering, I have coilovers ready and new wheels.

The postman came today :)
Hopefully the new control arms will come tomorrow :)

Picked the wings, bootlid and sunroof up today:
Painted the back of the wings black, for a bit of protection:
Love the gloss :)
Got an eyewatering amount of part numbers to email to BMW :(
Wings, doors, bootlid and sunroof are all still being polished.
Think I'm picking the doors up tonight.
Nope, I think I'll need a day of meditation before that, seeing as it's the most awkward thing ever fitted to anything.
Pretty OT but I got my Sony A200, with tripod, crumpler bag, 18-70mm & 70-300mm lenses, spare battery, all dics/software, CF card, lens cleaner for about £300.
Certainly not the best camera in the world, but it was a good starter.
I will probably try and have a go at this months actually, as...
I use ArchiCAD SE11 to do the modelling, then Artlantis Render 4 to do the renders, so off the shelf stuff.
They usually take about an hour or two at 12288 x 8192, depends on how complex the model is.
