Totally agree I think the CTR is appearing on a lot of company car fleets so may be the reason why I see so many around.

Someone must know a good place in the sw May even spray the wheels black so if anyone knows of a good spayer too that would be handy.

Yeah..the CTR does seem to hold it's value better than the Clio...most of the cheaper CTRs I looked ate weren't great either. TbH I think you have to spend 9/10k to get a decent one

120bhp sounds pretty standard Lots of scope for tuning on those little 1.4s:)

I'm not slating it...I was merely making an observation which is that there are lots more CTRs around in my area than Clios. period. I think it's a great car with a cracking engine...I just didn't buy one as I wasn't too keen on the powerband.

There's probably 10/20 CTRs for every 172/182 around my way....they are just everywhere. Not exclusive in the slightest

Looks good..very stealth. I'd spend any money on performance mods and leave the exterior & interior as is.

I tend to agree I think reliabily and build quality do vary considerably from car to car.

That's not a bad idea My emissions light has been on for a month or so and TBH I have got used to it but if I came to sell the car I'd like it to be off/not visible.

Nonsense really It's not as if Renault have fitted it with massive spoilers everywhere etc...it's actually still pretty stealth. I've seen far more Golf GTis around my way than 197s and 172s/182s out together so I don't know what he's on about there either.

Welcome to CS Good cars the 172s & 182s but I do think build quality and reliablilty differ a lot from car to car....just got to find a good one. Quite easy to live with and surprisingly economical when you need them to be plus cheap on insurance:)

I always thought Shell Helix Ultra was fully synthetic.....it's what it says on the tin anyway. Used to use it in my WRX without any problems but with my 24k service coming up I may try Silkolene 5/40w

I have a K-tec Stealth and am pretty happy with it. I'm sure you'll get lots of reccomendations for lots of different exhausts etc....do a search on exhausts and you'll get loads of threads come up worth reading.
