Yeah, they're awesome tbh!
Same here with regards to the paint, I'm craving something to detail :o
Plus, I desperately want to start putting it all back together/upgrading/renewing parts.
Best bet would be to get a rotating number plate holder.
Have a false plate that you can switch to as soon as you see a camera.
James Bond had one, look at how well he's doing.
Some parts arrived this weekend :)
New front wings, and repair panels for the lower rear quarter.
(piss poor iPhone camera)
Yet again, this whole 'E21 thing' has come up with a pleasant surprise.
I ordered the parts from Wallothnesch, a German company who specialise in old BMW parts...
Honister Pass
Cat & fiddle (average speed cameras now)
Snake Pass
Woodhead Pass
All need to be driven when it's quiet, which during the day, they rarely are.
Re: THE BIG CHESTER MEET 17th of march 2013!!!
Numbers are looking good!
Ash, what's the record for attendance?
Am I going to have to climb onto your BT box again? :D
I really dislike body coloured wheels, personally.
Too much of one colour.
I thought about silver, but was worried it might look, too much?
It once stood like this:
I think it looks brilliant, the wheel colour suits it?!
Bought these the other day:
They're rough to say the least, but a refurb will see them right in no time. They were pretty well priced, so I'm happy enough :)
I'll go and have a chat with them, as said I guess it's not much of an introduction any more.
Stone chip repairs is pretty advanced IMO, but I can have a chat with them and see what's what.
Sigh.
I didn't realise that website had rear quarter repair panels.
Found them after ordering the wings, and had to place another order.
€30 for postage because I rushed :(
Glencoe, Glen Nevis, and Kinlochleven, and so many other parts of Scotland are all genuinely beautiful places.
I'll be having a long weekend up there at some point this year.
It's been a good while since much has happened since I got the quote for the paint.
It goes 2 weeks tomorrow, so I have some bits that need doing in prep:
New wings.
Sills/shuts cleaned.
Windows removed.
Sunroof removed.
Grills/lights/remaining trim removed.
If possible, a new drivers door...
It's silver. It's gay as f**k. It sits about 13ft too high.
All that, and FFS, I like it :(
Joking aside, it's a cracking car for the money, and should suit your needs down to a tee. Silver is actually better than some of the colours they make, and when cleaned, does look very crisp.
So do you melt each wax individually and then pour them into a pot and stir it? Or put them all in a pot as a solid, and melt the lot of them together?
