I've had the Cup, coming on a year now. The upgrade wasn't really an option I dreamed of considering, as I was 20 at the time. Turns out the insurance was only £60 more a month, something which I could afford. The day I got it, I hadn't even sat in a Clio sport, let alone driven one. So other...
Yeah, aparently so. Has enough 'bounce' to not rattle about, and driven down to Glasgow and back, and is still sitting in place. I forced a thick peice of metal wire through the center of the cork, then wrapped it around itself underneath the mount to keep in 100% in place.
Couldn't agree more with the lowering, my next mod once my next mod hassle-free insurance starts! Also, I fixed the exhaust right after I took these pics, the exhaust mount had perished, so put something in place for the moment that holds it up in place nicely (being a fat champagne cork =p ).
My mum's 1.4 does 29.9mpg. No typo there, and man is it slow. Flooring it in second or third gets you nowhere, and sounds like one of those little motorised cooing fans when you have your hand cupped round it.
Dear Derek, my Cups previous owner,
Thanks for leaving chewing-gum under the rear passenger seats. Nothing turns me on more than having to use my mothers Marigolds to peel it off on a Saturday morning. Also, any chance of the front splitter you managed to rip right off the bottom, still leaving...
Car's looking good mate! Thought about some ph2 rear lights instead? It'll break the colour down a bit, especially if you plan on colour coding. The good thing about your colour is it should be fairly cheap to spray, just do as much of the prep work yourself beforehand!
When I bought my Cup (used), one was laquered and the other was not. I'm not sure which I prefer to be honest. Luckily, my dad owns a cair paintspraying garage, so when I have time, I'll re-spray and laquer the other, along with the engine cover I aquired from my mates written off 172!
Dave PM'd me asking for a few more, so these are the only others I have of the car. As I said to himself, the wheels aren't 'hard' to clean, just a pain in the ass =p The brake dust just rubs right off, as you can see by the 'CLEAN ME' pic. With a decent toothbrush of a handy shaped peice of...
These are 16" in white. The 17's just look disproportionate IMO, the spokes being longer. Plus, it's not worth an extra £200.
edit: Don't get white ones. I have 2 toothbrushes, one for my teeth, and one for these wheels.
Dirty;
1 hour of toothbrush action;
The pain is worth the gain.
Yeah, the picture of the sport wing is deceiving. It's actually alot wider than the standard one near the bottom, so no chance of your skirts overlapping.
the 2 skirts are different prices if if I recall correctly. One is 111 plus vat, the other is 80 something. Not too sure though.
I suppose you could cut your skirts to match the angle? But most likely wont look neat.
