Remove the cover and there should be clips on the inside. If not, stick something flat and hard (lol) in the gap between the glass and the plastic and gently lever it out. I'm sure it's just clipped on like most other cars I've worked on.
Get a cheap video card with a DVI output. It's digital. I picked up a DVI to HDMI cable from ebay (shipped from UK, arrived next day) for £2. Works perfectly.
Save's you alot of grief. VGA will look awful on a big TV.
They really do look better on the iPhone, but on the PC I don't think they're too bad. I was in Paris last weekend with the missus (didn't propose ;)) and some of my iPhone pictures came out better than her digital camera ones;
I honestly couldn't give two s***s what people do with their insurance, it's up to them. Id say most of them know theyre "fronting." I'm not going to get all piss pants about it.
As long as their insurance company pays out when they hit me then that's all that matters really isn't it.
I'd highly imagine so, as it's not attached in any way for the front. Just give renault a phone. However, the back bumper has a large piece of styrofoam which I'd imagine probably comes with the bumper, and i'm pretty sure it's held in place by clips on the inside of the bumper itself.
I starting to think the same.
If you haven't got the bumper yet... then what's the big deal? You buy them and put them on the bumper when you get it. The only reason you'd need them to be easy to "get off" is if you're planing on stealing them. Judging by the way you talk and type, I'm...
Ah, well that's not too bad. Once those bottom rivets are drilled out, and that screw in the rear arch removed, it'll lift up and come off no bother. just remember to use a decent sized drill-bit.
They're not clips, they're pop-rivets. You'll need a drill with a drill bit about the same size (but not smaller) as the hole in the centre and drill right through them. There's about 4 or 5 along the bottom of your sill. Then there's a small screw at the end of the skirt inside the rear wheel...
Sorry to bump, but just a little update to say that I got a call to say that Renault will be replacing my bonnet under warranty. I'll take pictures and show the 'damage.' Looks like the full services with Renault themselves doesn't always apply.
It's just the springs mate. Jeez, just keep the parts in the loft, switch them over when you come to sell and have fun in the meantime. All these people that worry about what they do affecting the price of the car when they come to sell it drives me up the wall. WHO CARES?! Enjoy the car! Sell...
Joy. I am currently starting this battle, although my rust is nowhere near as bad as yours. It's just small bubbles for the moment that have crept from the underside and worked its way round to the edge of the bonnet beside my headlight. None of it has come through yet, but it's just a matter of...
Come on man, it's a nice car and the longer you leave it the worse it'll get. If it starts creeping round and rust starts threading it's way round you're going to be crying. If you're tight for cash you might get away with sanding down the arch and only spraying that, but it's obviously at the...
Maybe, depends how well it has been done. Have a close look at the flaking paint and see if you can see a 2nd layer of laquer/paint stuck to the bits that are peeling off. Have a look around the whole panel, all edges for signs of a fade out or laquer line that hasn't been polished out properly...
lol.
I highly doubt that. 3 years at most anti-corrosion, and it has to be from the inside-out, as opposed to flaking paint. Otherwise we'd be doing a lot of Renaults free of charge. That's bodyshop material mate. Stonechips cause that over time too.
I have the recessed and it's nice and quiet in the car, with a nice subtle note outside. Putting the foot down unleashes it a bit but you'd have to have your window open to really notice.
Don't forget a new foglamp cover. To be honest, had he been 'flying,' he probably would have ripped the bumper from the wing. It is only light damage. Although I'd be more annoyed about the alloy than anything else.
Speaking as a paintsprayer, I would personally buy a second hand door in the same colour. The rust looks quite bad, and the metal on the lip of the door is very thin. You could attempt it yourself first of course, but I can guarantee it'll rear it's ugly head in a month or two. You can pick up a...
Gonna have to agree with McBunny on this one. Just seems like a waste of money, and alot of effort. Put the money towards some xenon headlights instead.
