use that tin of shaving foam they gave u - LOL. hopefully if u do pop one it wont just be a repairable puncture, cos I think that foam renders the tyre unrepairable.

dippy stick is at the front of the engine, down towards the bowels. i topped up with 10W40 magnatec though I have got some tasty Elf semi 10w40 to stick in. 1700 miles is a bit too early to contemplate a full change yet.

dont think it will melt anything....id be more worried about the extra UV the lamps will give off - remember the front covers on the 172/Cup lights are Polycarbonate - and Polycarbonate dont like strong UV! But for the amount of time ud actually have them on.....
