well i took a look on the old forum where theres lots of good posts
going to try cleaning the ISCV and then maybe change the spark plugs as god knows when they got done
ok trying to find out whats wrong with my old car
my mate now owns it
1995 1.8 8v rsi
all engine standard, standard filters etc
anyway
he's said that the revs are being a pain, he said it will sometimes go down to 500rpm and almost stall
this is with the clutch in or at idle...
yea only seems to be premium tyres that do it
so i'm just getting a 205/40 after work
stupid british crap roads ripping my tyre apart :-(, ohwell nice new tyre for xmas and that tyre was more worn than the rest anyway so at least its that one thats gone
bugger, got to work, locked car, then looked down and thought EH whats going on here
tyre appears to be slightly torn, it was fairly worn anyway but still legal so I was thinking of changing it for xmas, so now I have to :-)
anyway,
I'm on 17" alloys with 205/40 R17 tyres all round...
say you want a refund for the whole policy and for everything you've paid up to now as technically you weren't insured anyway and they wouldn't have paid out if you'd had a crash, see what they say to that
obviously, would help if the discount is with a company that accepts modifications
i.e greenlight
admiral/elephant/belldirect
I was with admiral, now with elephant, hic were close the year before but now have gone up,+ take ages to get through to them
hahaha, sorry mate, i had this aswell
think its a nut
it should get stuck again sometime, mine used to get stuck, then come out again after 2 months, anoy me on corners, then got stuck again
not too easy 2 sort i dont think, need to remove the trim inside near sunroof to get to it
no no no, lol, your making it all alot harder than it is
ok as for changing companies, most companies wont charge much extra to change over the car, Ive done it 3 or 4 times all during one policy, however if u do change companies during a policy and cancel a policy then u will lose the no...
doesnt effect them at all
they dont need to sign anything or do anything at all, hell they dont even need to know lol, well maybe they should
just try it
do a quote, then go back and add an older female as a 2nd driver, and the quote will come down,
if they have full no...
i took apart my last hu as it had dust in it that made it cut out, had to hoover it lol
was easy enough to remove the top of it
tiny screwdriver needed though but was easy enough
I think you may be looking towards 1k imo
at 21 with 3 years no claims it would be about 800 for me
go on admiral or elephant and do an online quote, add 2 older females as 2nd drivers who have full no claims, legal and will save you about £200 :-)
dont need to be family either,
well I will be renewing with Elephant today
admiral wont give me a new quote until i send back all my paperwork, gay
so elephant at £790 is my best quote, might ring a few more later on today to check no-one can beat them but that seems the best Ill get
10bhp lol
he was lying alrite, that or he was stupid and believed everything hes ever been told
2-3bhp most is more likely on a k&n open kit, tbh most ppl dont see the point in paying £££ just for a noise that can make the car slower
i wouldnt buy a kit brand new, 2nd hand maybe as...
think Bell are also owned by same ppl as elephant and admiral now
try those 3, do online quotes and play about
make him main driver but add older females with full no claims as 2nd drivers, brings price down as less risk
sounds like problem my mate was getting
his battery was the cause in the end
id charge the battery a bit and then get a voltmeter, check what the battery puts out with engine off and then what it puts out with engine on, then report back
that will show if the battery is just crap...
get your own policy mate
if you cant afford it on your own policy at 20 then you shouldnt really have the car
youll never get any no claims otherwise and it wont come down for years
same as above, used comma air spray thing, left aircon on for 10 mins while it sprayed it, smelly socks smell gone
smell can come aswell if its not used all that much, i.e for at least 10-15 mins each week
doh
just double checked
and its
Elephant £790
Admiral £785
going to ring greenlight and see if they can come closer than the 900 they gave over the net, then try a few more, maybe tesco will try but dont know what theyre like for mods
