Could be the aircon pump? Possibly something on the roller, a nick in the roller, or possibly something caught on it? I think I'll see if I can see anything on the belts, could be something there.

Exactly the same as mine then! Mine comes and goes, some day's it isn't there, others it's quite obvious. I've been told it isn't dephaser, never did find out what was causing it. Because of the speeding up I assumed it was rotational. Don't suppose you notice it goes louder with air con on...

FLOL!!!! Yeah... tbh mate I don't know how to use it, it's works but we never use it so they said I could have it until they need it again (years no doubt!) So you can borrow it, but you'll have to work out how to use it! What polishes ect... I have no idea. Tbh I prefer to polish and wax by...
