You need to find out the ID of the induction elbow to the airbox/filter assembly.....I know the airboxes are different on the 172 Mk1 and 2 but not sure about the inlet hose.
Yeah...that sounds like a good idea.
Friend of mine did it on his Capri....cut holes in the bottom section and secured ducting in with fibreglass which were routed to the front of the car:D
Cheers
I did see the triangular piece of trim on the inside of the door but wasn't sure it popped off or not...do you have to prise it off using a tol though?....seemed pretty well clipped on to me.
I've just totalled one of my wing mirrors on my Mk2 172
Does anyone know how to remove them?....I can see plenty of trim around them on the inside but no screws or signs of how to get them off.
Any help much appreciated
Ah yes..I see the good old acoustic valve there:D
I wonder how many people are going to rip it out of their brand new 197 to be replaced by some washer drier hose lol
Agree..it seems the car modifying manufacturers can sell ice to the eskimos.....a lot of it is marketing flannel.
You only have to read a few treads on here where people are wasting money on stuff but are convinced it's going to make a difference to see it.
Why is it restrictive though?.....the airbox has two feeds doesn't it?
Just would be good to have some definatice proof that removig this actually improves the running of the car.
Think I'm going to leave mine in situ for the time being.
