I'm not keen on vipers....for starters I don't think they look good and as for the noise, well, I don't want to attract attention in the car anyway. If people want to spend £200-300 on air filters that's up to them.

I'm going to be fitting a splitter soon and am a bit concerned about it being held on by self tappers. Are they up to the job? I don't want to catch something and have half my bumper ruined as the screws pull through it. What about removing the bumper to fit..is that a hard job to do?

That's not good. I think I'll take my bumper off the car to fit the splitter using small allen head bolts with washers.

I have to agree with you..I'd be flippin' livid if some scrote has been having fun in my car which I pay to run/insure etc.

It's just the same old story, people thinking they're invincible on the roads and their cars are the best thing since sliced bread. I blew away quite a few 172s/182s in my old car but now I'm happy to be on the recieving end as I couldn't care anymore wether a turbocharged, chipped milkfloat...

I brought a panel filter for my 172 when I first got it and it's staying put;)

It has a box around the cone which is open at the top (think it's sealed up by the bonnet) and has a cold air feed coming in from underneath.

About 2.5 - 3k in seven months

'Mondeo man' is pretty bad for general bad road manners (tailgating, no indication etc) TBH any t**t can drive in striaght line down a motorway...driving at over 100 with your family in the back just proves they even more stupid.

Think your wasting money chasing HP with the Renault....TBH it's enough fun as std. How about enhancing the suspension/handling...that'll probably give you a more noticable improvement for your money.

230bhp with a forced air filter on the CTR....that's an increase of over 30bhp if it's a UK car! I don't think so somehow

£200 seems steep for an induction kit. Looks better than the normal 57i kit though and will stay cooler if you can get the ducting set up right.

Haven't had this problem in my 172 but used to get it lots in my old WRX.

I believe it is as you can use it on fire grates and the like. Not exhaust/turbo temp proof though.

I'd have to agree I went to a professional and the results were top notch. Note: if you are tinting the drivers windows and have electric windows make sure you leave them for a while before using otherwise you'll b**ger the film. Good luck with it if you decide to take the job on:D
