Ive noticed the NXT + #16 doesnt make a difference but the Autoglym and the #16 did pretty well.
Same here, on a cup right? It does help bead the water a tad better though imo!
pmsl where do autocar get there figures from? Evo tested it this month at 17.9 or thereabouts, the LCR came in at 17.2 in the same comparison!
15.5 for a car with 150bhp per ton?
When the 182 first came out a lot of cup pack owners on here stuck cup stickers on their cars. I and many others bemoaned them for this, stating that there 182s were not in fact cups. I longed for the day when the real cup would be unleashed and said owners would have to remove their lil cup...
I value the opinion of EVO mag and not top gear, there opinion of the 182 was that it was every bit as good as the porka 911 carrea S in all the areas where it mattered (performance wise) and how many other hot hatches including CTR, LCR could keep pace with the 911 crosss country?
Answer - None!

If you are really into car detailing then a pc is the only option but these are pricy and need to be imported (110v) and then atransformer is needed from screw fix direct. However any random orbital buffer will still produce ace results. Megs do a cordless battery one for 100 quid, however you...
Goodreview max172cup
I am alittle surprised about the brake comments though! The cup is supposed to be up there with the best at braking! I used to own a vag product and the brakes felt great because they were over servoed but in reality they were not up to the cups!
2) Im looking at roughly double the insurance cost for a V6 than a 182, about £1700 a year and £900 for the 182. Is it worth it?
Who insures you mate? I am the smae age and pay 500 quid a year for a cup and this is with a claim and 3 points..elephant btw!
I have tried #16 on top of NXT but for some reason on my cup plain NXT seems better:confused:. I have been given some carbon wax, be rude not to try it esp as the starter kits are £100, but not expecting too much!
r-jay-cup you have more than me lol!!!!!!!!!!
My fave combo is
wash - not realy bothered as the following steps will remove all traces of it
Clay - megs pro clay bar
Polish megs body scrub
Glaze megs hand polish or megs new car glaze
Wax/seal megs NXT or number 16
Will be trying...
I am leaning towards the 510, out october 04 but a lot of peeps on this site favour a pda with tom tom go software (is this right?) which is cheaper and best?
Cheers and is it worth a trip to PC world?
MaLicE
the PDA halfords have at present is a Medion unit, guy said it is good but as sat nav device not quite as good as Navman 510!
Damn I really wnat one now can people just say if they think its worth it?;)
Cheers Jon, still about £300 quid though, how did you manage to link it to your road angel?
I am looking for a wire free system, is the above uncluttered?
Cheers
I personally think the racing driver bit was a wind up, a 172 cup (which I would imagine would put in a similer track time to a 182) was a fair bit slower (2.5 secs a lap) around bedford than a sec gen v6 when tested by the EVO crew and lets face it the megane woulnt see which way a cup or 182...
I have got some zymol carbon to try myself, but have been told its not much better than megs much cheaper stuff!
R-Jay-Cup I know what you mean about curing times I Nxtd my T sport recently amd halfway through curing it rained!
Yes guys I do need it I cover 30-35k miles a year, always to new places and I am pissed off with the stress of getting lost! Mobile phone nAv is out as I already have a car phone installed

Went into Halfords today armed with a £25 xmas gift voucher, whilst avoiding the neon washer jet aisle I stumbled across the Sat Nav section and the salesman was more than happy to talk me through his wares. I very nearly almost bought a navman 510 reduced from £500 to £400, anybody got any...
