yep, get a 1.2, keep it for a year or 2 and build up NCB. then get something better, wish i done that. instead im 2 years passed my test and still stuck with a 1.2 and no ncb :/

Just leave it alone after you do the rear badge and it will be perfect :)

Ive done this with mine too, all my plastics were looking a bit sorry for themselves so i bought a few tins of paint from halfours and went at it. car looks soo much fresher and better now! been a while now thoug, could do with another coat.

Looks good but it would look better if the back diamond was wrapped up too! looks silly with just the front imo.

How do painted badges look 'cheap' ? Tbh I think the chrome looks cheap and tacky I've not spent much on my 1.2 and I think it looks decent, I just got cheapish springs for mine instead of coilovers, while I'm saving for a 172.

low, decent alloys, colour coding, diamonds + badges. and a stubby airiel.

im paying 1.4k on a 1.2 clio just now... everything is rediculous.

No matter what we all say on here, if they have decided its getting 5 doors, then its getting 5 doors. live with it. also that twingo looks ALOT better than the first one. with or without the spots. although it would look better with just normal headlights like the edited image ^

im just sick of it, its got 114k on it and the paintwork is getting tattie. i want a nice car that i can look after and keep clean and shiny. and also faster than a 1.2!! just tried fiddling with the quotes, depending on where you park the car, it goes from 2.9k which is parked on the street up...

ive not even bothered looking for quotes on a 1.4 or 1.6 because im 1300 in my own name on my 1.2. also dont really want to pay 2 or 3k for a nice clean 1.4 - 1.6 clio when you can buy a 172 for that money, just cant do that!

yeah that credit card idea actually sounds good but the best quote ive had in my own name for a ph2 (which i'd rather) has been around 2.9k and tbh thats just silly. so i wont be getting one just yet. i may do that for another, smaller engined car though, saves a good 3-400 quid on some quotes...

That 4.5k was a ph2 172. Some of those companies only insure 21+ and some only do anual. I can't afford annual atm. Thanks for the info wilsonm3, I'm not really that keen on those MGs though. Ill stick with the 1.2 for a while I guess.Till I save 4.5k LOL
