Forgot to say, my rear seatbelt was locked so I had to replace that too, also the airbag computer which cost a total of 300 fitted by renault!

What is encluded in changing the dephaser? The cambelt and what else? I need to get my dephaser done but I don't know what else I need. Its a 2003 172 with aircon. Thanks

Ok, ill get the pulley checked because if fossie is correct then I think that's what it will be, seems that instead of giving an extra kick when the vvt kicks in, it dies a bit instead. Thanks for the info!

Thanks, would the dephaser pulley cause the flat spot at exactly the same point in acceloration ineach gear or would it vairy? Cheers!

Its expensive, but everything is expensive for anyone under 25 now! The 172 seems to die at 4500 rpm. Instead of the vvi kicking in, it seems to be a flat spot. Only does it sometimes, other times it gives the kick and goes like stink. Ill try get it looked at this weekend, any ideas anyone?

I got it for 1700. I've not had a chance to give it a proper clean yet as I stay away through the week, ill get it this weekend and get some better pictures. I got it from Aberfeldy which is in scotland. Guy lived on an estate so there's a few light scratches from bushes etc.. They will polish...

thats what i had to do with my 1.2. but on the 172, if you just pull the handles up as far as they can go, (feels like they are going to snap) the seat will pull forward. think the cable must be strectched

this happened on my 1.2 on 1 side and on my 172 both sides dont work. think its the wire, maybe stretched or disconnected itself?

So, after wanting one for ages, i found one cheap enough and close enough so me and my brother went to get it yesterday. was pretty dirty tbh, guy didnt even clean it for the viewing! managed to get 1 picture, i shall get more once i give it a good going over. its not in the best of condition...
