Cup is about a second quicker than the mk 1 from 60-100 but matched to the mk2 v6
IMO any RS Clio will keep pace with a v6 up to aton but will lose marginally due to traction from a standing start.
James yes the V6 will do 155 but if we are being honest who will ever find this out?
At present I use meguirs products which i find to be excelent and cannot fault, will spend 4-5 hours deep cleaning the car and then a quick wash and wax once a week to maintain
The clio 182 performed it would seem only averagly and came behind competition such as the type R and Cooper S (in works guise)
It came 18 iirc out of 25 but beat the megane 225 which came 24th
The cooper S was said to pull away easily from the clio on the track:o
Cant believe this...
Sorry to hear that!
My golfs alarm went off at 5.30am (first time ever)
I ran out to find my side exit (ususually bolted) banging in the wind and the golf open but nowt stolen?
Ah my favourite article!
To be fair it was the bug eye scoob which dont realy count but if you read the article the cup realy trounced the RS and the cooper S
Ive got the meguairs hand polish (£14) it is a non scratching pure polish and I have recently got but not yet used the meg paste wax (£14) to go on top. Have had excellent results with the polish and autoglym egp have not compared it to Zymol personally but I dont think I could tell a...
I shared your concerns until one day it just went mental on M4 up to wales luckily I was only doing about 76 so no probs there!
You could try a laser pen as sold in gadget shop and similer places?
I have been using Meguiars recently and my latest batch arrived this AM:D
Havent been impressed with the scratch-x but the clay bar and non abrasive polish is fantastic.
Some of their carnauba wax polish has also arrived so I will be trying that as well.
To be honest though I doubt if you...
Ive got a friend?:D
Group N, Group A, Group E
(Groupie) gettitt!
In a straight line test the Willy really doesnt have the performance of todays hot hatches, I will agree with Ben H though as it cant be touched in its element which is x country!
Ive got a 150bhp mk 4 golf gti, it is lovely to drive, fantastic interior and so much smoother than my cup. It is valver pace as standard but when it comes to twisty buts it fairs rather badly and no matter how much money you chuck at it it will always be a poor handling car!
Looks the daddy...
Yes V6s look great but in terms of outright performance they hold nothing over a cup/182. 0-60 times for a cup/182/mk2 v6 are all in the region of 10 secs whereas the mk1 v6 is 11 secs.
The V6 255 would Im afraid go a fair bit faster than the 182 in the dry, cant really compare wet times, an FRS went slower/or same around bedford than a 106 GTI only beacuse the FRS was in the rain
