Janspeed exhaust not as raspy as I'd like it

BTM basically developed the yozza but the sales contract has now been given to another company. Fingers crossed BTM are in the process of making a better exhaust than the yozza!

Insuring a second car, quotes over 1k!!

Having no joy at the mo with anything over 1.4 litre. I've got a S2 1.6 Rallye lined up for viewing next week but I really don't want to be paying over £500 a year for it. I must have some other options? I'm even toying with selling the Clio and buying a dirty diesel run around, arrrghhh I hate...

ELF SXR Oil from Renault price?

Nice little tip, thanks :) I always wondered about oil rebranding!

Renault Steering Wheels (Worth A Read)

Good luck, RUK are useless unless your a loyal customer to the brand. Any photos of how bad your wheel is? Mines still okish at 64k with slight melting but it doesn't look really bad.

Insuring a second car, quotes over 1k!!

I just had a quick play about online with multi car and managed to get it down to £1100 for the Clio and a 1.6 Xsi so it's a lot better! I'm going to give them a call and see if I can add a car mid policy and see what the charge is.

Insuring a second car, quotes over 1k!!

I've already got the Clio insured with Admiral. Did you change to a multi car policy from a single?

Thanks, I'll be in touch at some point always happy to try and support club traders :)

Insuring a second car, quotes over 1k!!

I just don't understand how the price can go up so much from being a Xsi 1.4 to an Xsi 1.6, it's stupid! I've seen a car I really want so it's just thrown a spanner in the works now as the insurance is more than the car.

Insuring a second car, quotes over 1k!!

I'm currently looking into insurance for a second car. It's going to be a weekend/track car more than likely a 106 Xsi/Rallye/GTI so will cover very limited miles on the road. The insurance prices on a 1.6 16V or 8V are really high, I'm looking at over 1k for a car that'll do about 2k miles a...

ELF SXR Oil from Renault price?

Thanks that'll save a journey out :), also how many litres of gearbox oil do I need? I pressume it's a case of fill it up until it comes out the top?

ELF SXR Oil from Renault price?

What's the going rate for ELF SXR 5w40 from Renault. I was going to pop into town and get some at lunch but I'm not wanting to get ripped off. I usually use Fuchs however I thought I'd try ELF for a change as it's recommended.

    Unique Mod Thread

I've not got any unique mods :(. Years ago when I owned a 106 someone removed the dash badge, fitted a VAG cup holder and re-fitted the badge. I think it was possibly one of the best unqiue mods I saw for a 106! It's interesting to see what ppl have done and if they're willing to give it away!

    1*2 Headlight washer blanks.

Hankook V12's - What does everyone think of them?

Great all round tyre for the money, I also went off recommendations from the forum and wasn't disappointed.

Vibration from boot/bumper area when driving at low revs?

Checked the heat sheilds and they're a bit wobbly but not causing the noise. Arch liners is the next check, I will solve this problem as it's driving me nuts!!!

    Bad throttle response 1.2 16v

http://sandpit.no-ip.com/clio/ - I used that as a base guide but it's obvious what to remove once you get started.

Specialist in Midlands besides Btm? Belts change

Keep pestering him, he's always very busy but I'm sure he'll fit you in. Also he's got a good offer on belt changes at the mo.

Vibration from boot/bumper area when driving at low revs?

Thanks guys, got a sneaky feeling it may be the head sheilds! I remember when fitting my exhaust they seemed a bit loose.

Vibration from boot/bumper area when driving at low revs?

I've got a really annoying vibration coming from the boot/bumper area when driving at low revs. I know the parcel shelf is known for this but that's not the issue. Could this just be flex in the rear bumper caused by vibrations from the exhaust?

    A good set of tyres.

Buy the best you can afford, I was on a tighter budget last time I replaced the fronts so I opted for some Hankooks instead of Michelins. I've not even pushed my car on cornering, braking etc so can't comment on the differences that much however the Hankooks do get good reviews on here for a...

    Bad throttle response 1.2 16v

It's a bit of a pain getting to the TB on the 1.2 but it's worth having a go to give it a clean. Make sure you mop up all the excess oil and give the TB a good clean, I used carb cleaner which worked a treat. I also had a poor running issue which turned out to be a faulty coil pack (a lot...

    Best laptop for around £350?!

All the Lenovo laptops are confusing, so many different variations of pretty much the same thing. I think the ASUS or ACER is looking like the best for my budget with an i3 a the mo. Do the Lenovo's come with a 1 year guarantee like ASUS?

    Best laptop for around £350?!

I checked out ebuyer but nothing jumped out at me. I have an Asus netbook which has been great however I've seen a few Lenovo reviews and all seems good. I'll take a look :)

    Best laptop for around £350?!

It did cross my mind but after having a look at one I don't think it's the ideal choice :(. I sometimes do a bit of work at home which invloves spreadsheets which could prove to be awkward on an iPad.

    covering up wheel scuffs

Paint code for standard anthracite wheels is - Ixel 205-110 you can order it from http://auto-paint.co.uk/carpaint/ but most places should mix it up.

    Best laptop for around £350?!

It's not any serious editing just very basic. I use a HD camera for MTB'ing so it's mainly footage from that which gets uploaded to Facebook/Mpora/Youtube etc. I'd love to wait but the other laptop has given up and the Netbook is terrible for anything other than surfing the net.

    covering up wheel scuffs

Just get a small pot of paint mixed up to match and touch them up. It'll make the wheels look nicer from a distance and a bit more pleasing on the eye. I've given up on mine now as the other half has ruined both front wheels!

    Best laptop for around £350?!

I'm in desperate need of a new laptop so I'm calling on all computer boffins to help me out :) My budget is around £350, main use is for general web browsing, watching films on the TV (connection via HD or normal cable), Photo editing and basic video editing. I've been looking at the ASUS...
