Arrived next day, its also the only place I could find that sold the proper NFJ Gearbox oil too.
Thanks that'll save a journey out, also how many litres of gearbox oil do I need? I pressume it's a case of fill it up until it comes out the top?
3L just keep filling till its all in or its coming out the breather.
Box is 3.1L but you never drain it all. I put the Elf Tranself NFJ - 75w 80 in which is the specified, but i know a lot of people use a 75w 90 semi synth which is fine and also a bit cheaper.
What's the going rate for ELF SXR 5w40 from Renault. I was going to pop into town and get some at lunch but I'm not wanting to get ripped off.
I usually use Fuchs however I thought I'd try ELF for a change as it's recommended.

Nice little tip, thanksIf you go to any Total garage they will have Total QUARTZ 9000 fully synthetic 5w40 oil.
Its exactly the same as the ELF stuff.
£25 or so from garage if they have the 5litre on the shelf.

No no no
Filling till its flowing out of the breather is way over filled!
The correct level is when it comes out of the hole on the front of the box which is covered by a plastic butterfly nut.
