I wanted a 1.6 16V as I thought fecking hell 110BHP is gonna shift in a clio! I then heard of the 2 litre mk1 now and thought bloody hell 2lires in a clio and 172 bhp, its not like a 2litre mondeo 130bhp engine either. After that I was absolutly hooked but wasnt in a position to buy one.
Then...
Just been quoted 220 by renault in Swindon!
I then did a search! And found this was way too much. I was then put through to Renault minute and haggled it down to £140 if I supplied the air filter!.
Bonus is that they fit my new ITG panel filter!!!!
I was buffing the cup earlier with a rotary buffer when the pad came off and the metal arm underneath continued to polish my cup!!!
Serious cratches and chips:(
Managed to hide well with blue wax stick and blue polish but will need a respray!
Bearing in mind renault forecast a 75% uptake on these packs it should have been a std/delete option not an upgrade!!

Can renault simply increase the hp and uprate suspension though? The suspension on my cup is a stiff as a board, i understand its even stiffer on a 182 and if it was to be even stiffer on the 192 then surely the ride would be too crashy.
So, is there anyone out there, who can see what I see in this car, a classic, rear-drive, mid-engined sportscar, with 255 bhp from a gorgoeus-sounding V6? Fantastic looks, awesome presence and, when driven in the way this layout demands, hugely fast in most situations. I have seen 155 mph so...
Camera locators are fine as the whereabouts of speed cameras are in the public domain anyway.
It is detectors such as radar/laser that they want to ban bad news for the new road angel as it is integrated and all one piece!
The valver is a clio 1.816v, puppy was a pet name someone gave their clio, 172/182 refer to the bhp (din) 2 litre clio variants and cup refers to the lightweight 172 model
Wait till yer 28 Lee;)
Car is garaged, low mileage as I have access to a comapny car for 95% of my driving. It is hardly ever used so low risk I suppose!
Just about to pay the 740 and I thought sod it lets give elephant a go
£556 WTF!
And only another 50 quid for air filter, sports suspension and R sport chip!!! Should I decide to go down that route of course;)
Cheers guys thought it werent too bad!
Will probably check a few other companies.
Admiral wanted roughly another £60 for eibach springs and a sports air filter
Wouldnt insure me for front and rear strut braces though:cry:
Last year took out an insurance premium on an imprezza turbo for 800 wrote it off within 2 weeks and bought a cup with the payout!
Admiral now want 740 for this years premium!!!!
Sound good? Oh am 28 with no ncb! and the odd speeding fine!
